I THINK we had a discussion over this. Not that I like this pics anyways.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I'm gonna say Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Unless it's grandfathered in, I say pull that thing.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I'm reasonably certain this has the Grandfather Clause behind it. Not going to shed many tears if it goes, though.
Replace it, maybe? Though it'll be a new kind of hell finding a better picture for Firefly.
It's your God, they're your rules, you go to hell." - Mark TwainWhen I look at the pic, I imagine them bursting in some place. I like it; I think it works. Unless of course someone has something better.
Keep Until Better Image Suggested
What DOES Keep Until Better Image Suggested mean, by the way?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Keep until better image suggestion
We really should make a page for Keep Until Better Image Suggested, just so we can link people to it.
Reaction Image RepositoryI thought it was being added to Predefined Messages.
It's listed on that page, but it doesn't have it's own page like everything else does. It's not a matter for this thread, though.
Reaction Image RepositoryI don't think this is even KUBIK (or whatever the hell you youngsters are callin' it these days). It's people with guns drawn and serious, ready-for-fight expressions who are posed dynamically in dramatic lighting that lends the figures a feeling of forward momentum, as if they just burst through the bay door behind them. It shows what the trope page describes—the moment and not the heroes.
Heck, I like it, and I've never even seen Firefox, or whatever this show is called.
Get a slant at this glossary of Pulp Detective terms. It rates. Pipe that?It doesn't show them actually rescuing anyone, though. Fits better for something like Dynamic Entry.
That said, I'm not going to mind terribly if this is allowed to stay. But I'm not going to try particularly hard to defend it, either.
Edit: Okay, Dynamic Entry isn't the trope I thought it was, but you get my point. This definitely shows heroes (well, a group of characters, but I think the page is context for that) showing up in a dramatic fashion, but it doesn't show the fact that they're coming to the rescue, which is the key part of the trope.

The image shows no context on how this is considered a Big Damn Heroes. I know it's the trope namer, but isn't their a better pic to fit the trope?
