Yeah, I'm thinking we should just avoid the meme altogether. It used to be mildly entertaining...six years ago when it was new.
Reaction Image Repository"I think a threat of banning anyone who adds the meme as the caption is warranted"
Second! A commented-out note that says "don't or else", perhaps?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I added a (not quite that threatening) note about not using it. I don't want to add the threat of banning, as I don't have the authority to follow up on it.
Reaction Image RepositoryReally, let's make a crowner for the caption, since we have several options.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Blank crowner's hooked for the captions.
Added two options from this thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanHow about this for a caption idea:
"CAUTION: Scanning device is volatile. Use with caution, or risk an explosion in your face."

somethingIMO the only ones that should be negative are the ones that reference the meme either directly or indirectly...
Would it be frowned upon if I added a "captionless" option? It doesn't need a caption, in my opinion.
If all are in the red, captionless is already kind of the winner.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.IMO, captionless just begs for people uninvolved in this discussion to insert the 9000 meme, which I'm not sure I want.
Moon◊abk1000 took out the hidden comment about the "over 9000" meme; I added it back in with some more emphasis...people should have to be actively ingnoring it to not see it now.
EDIT: Is anyone else seeing significant color artifacting in the pic?
EDIT #2: Can someone add the pic example to the page with the proper context?

I've changed my vote here. Is it safe to call?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWhoa, that was a big shift...that being the case, I think we need to give this at least a day to make sure it stabilizes.
Well, it's been almost 24 hours and the leader's done nothing but gain votes and ratio, so I think this is safe to call. The caption's up and the tag about the meme is adjusted. Locking up.

BTW, since this thread is nearly done, do we need the clock?
