Can someone please lock this? Because this isn't even beating around a dead bush. This is beating on a game that was falsely reported and unfairly blamed. Mark my words, this topic is going to turn into another Japan bashing if anyone lets this continue.
THIS is how you reproduce in this game. In this context, its less than Fire Emblem and more like a conventional RPG, except the roadblocks to new units are replaced with "women" you're supposed to "marry" to unlock said units.
I'd classify this much more closer to Pikmin than anything else.
But a game with a title like that is just asking to be misinterpreted.
Still, I guess "Please Put Your Soul With Mine in this Contraption" doesn't quite roll off the tongue.

After checking that latest link, this game actually looks interesting.
This isn't even WTF material, Pokemon does pretty much the same thing. Except with... animal things.

Do...do we get to watch?
Don't you try anything, you baked good you.Hmm. Quite an....innovative way of getting your party together.
Would raising your kids' stats be kinda like parenting? Reminds me of this other game where God gives you a baby girl to raise.
Yeah, that's the one.
This game sounds like Princess/Prince Maker x12. With some additional content where you actually make the little princes/princesses with 12 different mothers. Then you take the little buggers on a family trip to save the world.
Non-Sexual Adultery And Parenting: The RPG.

Huh. With that link that Izaak provided, I can only approve this. Shame it will be yet another No Export for You deal.
Eh, NISA has to fill the gaps between their bigger franchises with something. You never know.
It isn't adultery if you aren't married in the first place!

The children's designs are ADORABLE.
Seriously. I want to kidnap a few of those mage ones and make them my little siblings.

"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaI find it amusing that the comments on the linked article are basically the same as the comments here. This is apparently weird even by Otaku standards.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulThough considering the mechanism by which the children are created, it's technically cleaner than Harvest Moon.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaSeems to me like Sister Princess, but with daughters. (And, presumably and hopefully, no romantic implications with the daughters themselves...) And actual princesses, more or less.
Interesting concept, even if the game's name is questionable...
It's weird by Otaku standards BECAUSE it's clean
There's sons in there, too. Though I don't know anything about Sister Princess, so I will refrain from further comment.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaThis thread probably doesn't deserve the bump but I just realized that 'impregnating a girl' in the title would be more accurately replaced by 'making children' without sacrificing any potential for misunderstandings.
So it's like the anti-Earthbound?

Yup, and this game will (probably) have less incest than that one did, so It's (probably) less of a big deal than that Fire Emblem is.
In fact MY first thought was Dragon Quest V, while your goal isn't to father a chosen one per se, it does happen, and you pick which girl will be the lucky bride.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead
