It's fun to see that art has been evolving. Backgrounds and characters both look today much better than even in the "redrawn" pages.
Eh, I don't like this particular turn of events. "We are going to unceremoniously kill them" "I'm leaving particulars on someone who hates you because reasons *engage in a mecha fight instead using a handgun*. I see why the author may choose this direction (the story isn't supposed to be grimdark), but the bad guys are a bit difficult to take seriously now. I'd prefer that that they'd be serious about doing their job but just could not get a clear line of sight on the duo.
