Many of the examples are taking the name literally (no physical displays of affection on screen) vs. the intended meaning (no romance at all between the major characters).
We need either substantial pruning of examples or a complete repurposing of the page.

So this trope is about cases where the writer has made it clear that there will be no romance between the lead characters. I'm not sure how a writer can indicate that there were no plans to have a romance between the leads short of telling the audience that. So, I think we should limit the examples on this page to cases were the creator has stated as such. Most of the examples on the page are already backed up by Word of God.
