Yeah, I still don't think he would have become King. And it wasn't their plan either. According to Wikipedia:

"The plan was to blow up the House of Lords during the State Opening of England's Parliament on 5 November 1605, as the prelude to a popular revolt in the Midlands during which James's nine-year-old daughter, Princess Elizabeth, was to be installed as the Catholic head of state."

I still don't see that working, but it would have had a better chance than trying to bring in a foreign King.

Who knows what would have happend. Alot of people would have died, that's the only sure thing.
