So... this trope's about parodies of Walt Disney. While there are enough parodies that it is accepted as a trope here, the name is just bad and doesn't really indicate what it's about. I suggest Walt Disney Parody as a new title.

Sure, Walt Disney Parody would be much better. But it sounds a lot like a parody of Disney-style animation.

Would something like Dalt Disney get the idea across? Or Walt Disney Stand In? (I'm tempted to call this Walt Disney Expy, but then I have stop and remind myself that that's not what expy means.)

How about False Disney? Ehh... that sounds like a bad imitation of Disney-style animation. Not Really Walt Disney?

Eccentric Animator or Quirky/Eccentric Animation Magnate, etc.? These tend to Flanderize his Wonka-ness, so I like the word eccentric for it.

EDIT: I know! "Alt-Disney"! Haha, that's terrible. Well, it's alright actually...

Edit again: Now that I look at the examples more, it seems like it's not just parodies of his animation industry. Maybe Eccentric Entrepreneur? It's alliterated. I would like Alt Disney for a redirect though tongue

Yeah, the more I think about it the more clever it sounds. cool Alt Disney and Eccentric Entreperneur are my suggestions. Should we make a crowner?

Alt Disney is hilarious.

Crowner sounds like a good idea.

Alt Disney sounds like a trope about things that knock of the Disney animation style.

Knocking off Disney? Perhaps. But specifically the animation style? I wouldn't say that.

"Alt" Disney is clearly a play on "Walt" Disney, so it refers to him, not just the company or style. I'll make a crowner.

Isn't the company officially the Walt Disney Company?

Yep. The company is Walt Disney Company and Walt Disney Pictures is the film studio. So it's just as clearly a pun on the company or a parody of one of them as it is the man. Anything that uses his full name is going to suffer from confusion with one of them. They're all terrible names.

Regardless, Alt Disney is still, hands down, the best suggestion for a new name so far. Unless somebody has a decent suggestion for a name that makes it perfectly clear the trope is about a person and nothing else, I can be perfectly content with Alt Disney and can live with its faults, which really aren't that big of a deal, anyway.

How about "I'm Alt Disney," or "Hi, Alt Disney" or "Meet Alt Disney" or something?

The faults are huge. It's an amazingly misleading name that sounds like it could be half a dozen other tropes and does nothing to indicate the actual trope. It will cause massive misuse especially because the actual trope is about the rarest of the possible things in media that the name could indicate. Parodies of Walt Disney Pictures are far more common than parodies of the man himself.

Alt Disney it is, probably. People usually use "Disney" when referring to the company and "Walt Disney" when referring to the person, so that actually shouldn't be a problem.

No, of all the things a name like Alt Disney could come to be about, "Walt Disney, the person" would still rank pretty high on that list of possibilities.

"Walt Disney, the person" is certainly far, far, from "the rarest of possible things in media the name could indicate".

It might make the short list, but it is one of the rarest trope that comes up in media that this title could indicate. The most common one is Alternate versions of the Walt Disney pictures studio. Actual parodies of just the man are fairly uncommon.

We're looking for a clear name that won't encourage massive misuse. Not a pun people think is funny.

Even when there is a parody or fictional counterpart to the man, it's never is a case of "just the man". If there's gonna be fictional counterpart of Walt Disney, there's usually going to be counterpart to Disney studios, theme parks, and other properties as well.

If you're going to be parodying the person, you're going to be parodying what the person is actually famous for doing, too. These topics go hand-in-hand.
