Never played them much. Played Achaea for a bit, but lost interest after a while. The insufferable players didn't help much in that regard.

I will say that Achaea is rather complicated. Most houses require you to read walls of text to advance. Not to mention how horrendous it is to navigate cities.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Anybody here ever Play Cleft of Dimensions? It's like a Crack Fic in MUD form- You've got Koopa Troopas with guns exploring levels from Tactics Ogre, Hylians and Moogles teaming up to fight Palmer from Final Fantasy VII, Kain getting pissed off about Reploids not having blood to drink, and players of all stripes reducing monsters from Earthbound to Ludicrous Gibs and devouring their brains.
...Does EVERY combat-focused MUD let you consume chunks of dead mobs?
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifePlayed Battle Tech 3030 MUX for a brief time, that was a pretty good in-depth one
Noticing the lack of threads on this subject I decided to make one.
For the uninformed MUDs are the oldest forms of mmorpgs. They are completely text based (although most are nice enough to give ascii-graphical maps) and are comparatively vast in size. There are a wide range of MUDs from the basic dungeon crawl to a huge roleplaying world full of politics and intrigue
Tropers are welcomed to discuss their favorite MUDs here.
