Am I the only libertarian that hates conservatives more than liberals?

Yeah, there's more to social mores than "ew, buttsex" - compare New York to New Orleans, for instance - and most people have a strictly situational view of whether a government should interfere. It's not a very helpful system.

I'm with you - I hate Conservatives and the GOP, especially in this generation. They've ruined my country and think they can fix it by punishing the majority, aka the middle/lower class(es) They need to be brought down and shown their stupidity full stop IMHO, BEFORE bad/violent things really happen.

A simple comparison in political scales between American and international shows that the Right totally dominates US politics.

Compared to most postindustrial countries, we're right-wing, yes. Thank god. But Lost Anarchist is clearly saying more than ever before.

Yeah... even if you hate the Left, a completely Right-wing political scene might as well be a one-party state. No variety in ideas means we can't even prove such ideas on the other side wouldn't work.

If the only choice is between "X" and "X but more so," there's no choice at all.

From what I've read and observed, America can only benefit from Left-Wing ideas/ideals as of this generation. The Right are in the wrong and always have been for their failure to see how the majority are suffering because of them.

I'm on the Left and will die on the Left, BTW.

I'd at least like if the Right was capable of applying the term "socialist" with any concept of what it actually means, and whether or not it's bad in the specific situation it's being suggested.

Instead, there is no real Left in this country not because all their ideas are universally crap, but because the Right—with its business ties—has a successful and startlingly strong grip on propaganda.

There is less of a left than in Europe. That does not mean there is no left. Just as there is not "no right" in Europe. I am pretty damn glad that the Occupiers have hitherto not been dominating the marketplace of ideas, because their ideas are stupid, but that doesn't mean they should be silenced. And I don't think I've ever used capitalist as an insult. I could, but I can only think of one, particularly narrow area where I have such a low opinion of the system that its very nature is insulting...

Capitalism is something I'm ashamed to rely on, because it's in the wrong hands here in the US, fucking things up that people can get cheap or even for free elsewhere, through taxpaying, of course.

A little Socialism never hurt anyone. Though propaganda hurts everyone, I'll give you that.

Sometimes I dream of being dominated by Europe and having my healthcare/education/etc. paid for through my taxes. Sounds nice to me!

Actually, propaganda was basically a neutral term. World War One added the negative connotation, in the US at least.

Edit: To clarify, once upon a time, "propaganda" was just "any type of news produced by a government."

So, the average "don't speed/drink and drive/whatever" PSA is technically propaganda, though we don't think of it as such today because of connotation.

That already happens with education in the US. The problem is that this country doesn't set decent standards for education, not that it's not paid for.

Yeah, at this point I'm thinking that being under the control of Europe would be good for us. It'd be nice to have any government that doesn't treat providing for its citizens as a dirty commie concept.

Um, actually the opposite is true: a lot of the ideas coming from OWS have been intelligent and realistic. We've just been brainwashed as a country into thinking they're stupid, even though every other country knows they actually work much better.

Come on, it's utopia waiting to happen provided a majority of America is onboard with being sick of the current two-party system only favoring the rich/corporates, which the MAJORITY ALREADY ARE.

It makes sense. Total sense. Mostly everyone is waking up to realize this brand of capitalism wer uunder creates crime and even wars. Hence why OWS exists, for example.
