Chapter 16 is up.
And you two were right!
Well, I can't say that I was expecting that. Still, looks like things are finally getting interesting. Also, I find the 'Sink or Swim' line mildly amusing.

Huh. Well, didn't see that coming.
This is going to be another manga where the only males of any importance are the protagonist, the antagonist, and the protagonist loony friend who is there only to deliver a quick joke, isn't it?
Hey, Nisekoi's nothing if not generic. XD Still, I still am interested in the developments, and generic works can at least add to the variety of the things I read.
Raku was a boss this chapter. Jumping into the pool from the third floor takes guts.
I really like this manga. Yeah it throws a wagon of cliches at us, but I like the way they are used here. I love the "Reverse Romeo and Juliet" setup. I like both Raku and Chitoge, and the way they interact.
I have one complaint though: If the author wanted us to think that Onodera might be the Promised Girl, fine that's good twist. Only to then reveal that's it's actually Chitoge? Sure why not, I have nothing about double twists. But the whole setup falls apart when one realizes that he showed that the Promised Girl has blond hair right on the first page. Oo
I figured it would be Chitoge regardless of twists after the one-shot.
Yeah, the one-shot where Onodera didn't even appear.
I have no problem with this. I like Chitoge. Onodera is too bland.
For what it's worth, it doesn't look blonde to me; more of a lightish medium-brown, which places it almost exactly between the two love interests established so far. That said, I'd be shocked if it was anyone but Chitoge - She's simply a more interesting heroine at this point, especially if this is to be primarily a romance.
I'd actually like it more if Onodera does turn out to be the promised girl, but Raku ends up choosing Chitoge anyway.
IT's blond. It's look bit dark since she's facing away from sunlight.
And yeah, Chitoge is really much better character. Onodera isn't interesting.
New chapter out!
As expected, harem +1. Yet another tsundere, but with dollops more dere than Chitoge. I approve.
Oh and Chitoge seems to have had a habit of agreeing to childhood promises. Please tell me she's not the girl with the key.
So this makes what, four, five promises between the main cast? All of which took place ten years ago? I'm just hopeful that this gets explained at some point.
In danger of becoming a love polygon harem? Yes.
...a little brother should belong to his older sister, right? - Orimura ChifuyuIt was all the rage back there.
Pretty average chapter to be honest. It was so predictable that I could basically write it myself after reading the last one. And that's not bragging because you could too.
But it was necessary I guess so it's ok. Lets see how the plot develops from here.
Also Chitoge was so cute on the cover page.
Absolutely. I think I actually stared at her for half a minute because I couldn't get over how cute she looked.
Definitely better than Onodera.
Need to find other forums to chat on now that my favorite manga is over.
Hi, everyone! Found out about this series by accident. It's cute.
Welcome, No Limit. I congratulate you on not dropping from genericness like more than half the initial posters.
Did you read the oneshot?
I recall reading the one-shot a while ago, but I completely forgot what happens in it.
Not too important, only really asked because you said you randomly stumbled across the series.
I honestly preferred the one-shot's setup (mainly due to the lack of Onodera), but whatever. This one isn't too bad either.
I'm honestly hoping for the various confessions and promises would result in sheer insanity and many lulz will ensue.
That would be fun.
In fact, I could imagine a writer making a setting with a large amount of criss-crossing promises for the sake of figuring out what sorts of lulz end up taking place (since nobody ever just sits down and talks these sorts of things out).
That'd be a glorious parody of childhood promise romances.
You know what, I'm putting that right at the top of my list of story premises to some day write. I'll get right to it after Turtles all the Way and My Secret City have been wrapped up - that's almost too perfect to not use.
Unless, you know, Nisekoi does it first. Just saying it might.
Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking that.
