I haven't really noticed anything the short time I played it, I stayed with the console versions mostly.
Optimism is a duty.Hm. I think it might be worth it...
I really really like the let's plays I've seen...
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youThe controllers automatically have smoothing effect with the camera, where it naturally flows and heaves with whatever direction the player is facing instead of the sudden, janky movements that the PC version's KB+M setup has. So yeah, definitely give the console controller a quick try on GTA IV before grabbing V, that just might be the solution. Besides... the GTA games honestly work better with controllers anyways, the mouse doesn't work very well except when on foot.
I see. It was designed to work with controllers, and the mouse setup gets in the way...
Anyway. I measured my internet download speed. Will a 2 Mbs connection suffice to play this game? It seems to do okay in Far Cry, but it's atrocious in Battlefront.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youIt's more about your location in the world than anything else. I'm supposed to have 18mb/s as per my cable provider, but in reality it's always less (usually 15mb/s or lower), and my location all the way out in the middle of the Pacific means the connection to any stateside server is going to suck, no matter what.
But only only 2mb/s? That's gonna be pretty strained. Basically means if anybody else in your household does something online, you're gonna feel the impact.
I meant mine all by myself. That's not my whole family's total dl speed, that's just what I can claim on my computer.
So far Far Cry co-op isn't too shabby, but I could NOT play battlefront
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youOutside Xbox has returned to GTA online to resume Heists! Yissssssss
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI'm a bit done with GTA Online. When is GTA VI coming out?
Optimism is a duty. That's a question I'd like answers to as well.
Though if I had to hazard an educated - and probably controversial - guess given my extensive knowledge of how the game industry has been performing in general, and Rockstar/Take-Two Interactive in particular, I'd say we're not going to see a single-player instalment in the series anytime soon.
And that's simply because they don't need to make one - they're already making ALL the money with the Online... stuff. Plus I really do think that they're in a similar situation as Valve is right now with the Half Life franchise - as the last game was critically acclaimed, made tons of money - the most in gaming history on initial release - and any new game at this stage probably wouldn't live up to the hype that fans would expect.
GTA V came out five years ago this year, and if Rockstar were serious in making another instalment any time in the near future, we'd have probably seen something about it by now. Given that the release gap between GTA IV and GTA V was only four years, and the latter game was heavily trailed prior to its release, I think I'm on fairly safe ground there.
Also, they have the next RDR to push out the door first. I doubt we'll hear ANY GTA announcements until that monster has landed.
GTAV is still selling for full price on the Steam Library.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWho the hell is BUYING it? Surely everyone owns a copy on some platform now? Even Tibetan monks got it gifted to them in their steam library?
Or is it hackers whose accounts keep getting banned each time?
GTA VI will probably be a focused online version.
We are also more likely to see a Switch port of GTAV in the next few years than GTAVI.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Ugh, I'd hate that. I mean, Online is fun too, but I still want that core single player game. I would be hugely disapointed by an online only sequel.
Optimism is a duty. The game is available on sale at Humble Bundle. 50% off. Still not enough of a discount for me to pull the trigger on buying it, but...
Maybe they're waiting for the next generation consoles to arrive
Secret SignatureIf you obtain a vehicle in a Heist, do you get to keep that vehicle?
Like, the newest Heist has Deluxos, which apparently can fly. To be able to keep that car would be incredible. Not to mention the armored vans, technicals, jet fighters, and other things you steal on heists.
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youGame is back on sale on Steam. But Fanatical is doing a bigger discount.
I believe you can indeed store those vehicles in your garage if you so wish, but you cannot replace them once destroyed. You'll need to buy a brand new one and get an insurance replacement policy for the vehicle.

Dang. So stolen vehicles can't be made your own? Aw..... There goes my plan to steal the entire Navy's air power and invade the mainland...
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youWhy would auto theft be a viable option in a game called Grand Theft Auto? That just doesn't make sense.

Can I sell stolen vehicles, at least? Maybe I could steal three fighter jets, sell them all, and afford to buy one of my own, if I ever buy this game
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youYou can sell stolen Cars, but only certain models.
They absolutely have complained. Cracked.com and Kotaku have both published articles citing terrible controls and camera issues marring an otherwise amazing game. I just want to make sure GTAV has fixed this particular issue before I drop 60 dollars on a copy? I'm easily nauseated and GTA 4 nearly made me vomit.
This is the exact problem I had with 4: When I press and hold "A" on my keyboard, Nico runs not in a straight line to the left, but in a large counterclockwise circle. If Nico is in a large enough empty space, he will eventually run exactly through the exact spot he started. In most games, this is NOT the case.
It's incredibly slight, and I only noticed because it did weird things when I tried to use the mouse to correct it. I haven't tried playing 4 with a plugged in controller yet. Maybe it's more natural with controller controls?
On the one hand, GTAV looks amazing and I want to get it, but on the other hand if it does the same awkwardness where pressing and holding either left or right will cause me to run in a large circle because the camera tries to follow where I'm running to instead of where I'm aiming with my mouse, then I might just wait for Far Cry 5.
