Scheme was the 2nd programming language I learned, and I hated it . Guess I can't say anything bad about it now . Either way I respect Mr. McCarthy and his contributions. RIP.
Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right, here I am...Wasn't he also one of The Beatles?
I read the title as John Mc Cain and was rightly confused...
“Love is the eternal law whereby the universe was created and is ruled.” — St. BernardDid anyone not think it was someone else? You had me freak out that the Beatle had died.
I'm baaaaaaackYeah, he didn't seem to do much for Lisp beyond the whole inventing it business, and even then the idea was that it would be used for easier program verification and such; it wasn't originally supposed to be something actually implemented, after all. I'm not surprised he made more contributions to math and logic.
^Paul McCartney? Read more carefully, then.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I Have to say it was around midnight and my laptop plug got pulled out a few seconds after. My brain Isn't at it's best in those circumstances.
I'm baaaaaaack
Our planet woke up a bit dumber today
He is mostly known as the creator of Lisp, but that actually was just a tiny part of his work on AI and related matters — personally, I knew him more for his work on nonmonotonic logic, but his webpage contains plenty of interesting papers on quite the breadth of topics.

But they seem to know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
