Kurt slowly walked up to the Japanese girl. "Do you plan to threaten every survivor we come across?", he said. "Believe it or not, that won't help your chances of making it out of this alive.", he said. "Someday, somebody's going to get twitchy when you do that. And then you're going to get shot.", he said. "Do yourself a favor and knock that attitude off.", he suggested.

Meanwhile, Scalps walked up to Gabby. "So, you plannin' on gettin' outta Zombieland?", she asked, a smirk on her face. "Or do you wanna stay?"

Slowly, an up-armored truck approached: It was chock-full of raiders, armed to the teeth. There were six of them, armed with semi-auto carbines and shotguns. They didn't look particularly friendly.

Steven bit his lip and looked between the two of them, though eveery now and then he glanced down at the gun. "It's alright. I understand needing to be cautious in these times. I mean, not that I like having a shotgun aimed at me, but I understand at least. Um..." He tilted his head, still ridiculously holding his hands in the air. "Are you together here?"

Then he heard something that definitely sounded like tired on pavement and looked outside. He got a glimpse of the people outside and his eyes widened. "And, um, are they with you?"

Her face red as a ripe honeycrisp, Sharon looked away, and scribbled something even messier than before. But from the looks of it, the note read:

There are things you don't know about me. Things you really should before you say something like that. As uncomfortable as she looked, she also looked sort of solemn. Her hand gripped her pants leg, scrunching it up and thereby lifting the leg hole, just an inch. The leg underneath was matte black.

Rick, not feeling it proper to actually stare at the lady's notes, was hardly privy to most of the conversation between Arnold and Sharon, nor did he particularly make an effort, busying himself by putting his stuff back where they belonged, to use the loosest sense of the term. Spritzer went back into a cardboard box, bandages on a shelf.

That said, he was able to piece together the gist of their conversation solely by the man's reactions. And it sounded like he was hitting on Sharon. This? In the middle of a zombie apocalypse?

Before Rick could remark on this occurrence, however, he heard the rumbling of wheels. That... that meant others. And the fact that even he could hear it... A heavy vehicle, at that. "More people?" He asked quizzically.

Arnold looked down at Sharon's leg.

"Oh god... you're a carrier aren't you?"

"Find fuckin' cover!", Scalps yelled, crouching and running behind another car. She had the pistol in her hands... It was a matter of waiting 'till a raider approached, and then shooting him point blank.

As for Kurt, he went prone and slithered behind a large potted plant, taking aim with his Garand.

Arnold looked puzzled.

"Really, that's all? Whenever she lifted the trouser leg, I expected the worst... but if the only issue is that she has a prosthetic leg, then there really isn't anything to chase me away."

She stared down at her pants and realized she'd done it again. Shit! She frantically waved her hands no, almost like she was babbling silently, trying to find words she couldn't speak. She sighed, and showed him, lifting the cloth up at the knee.

The leg was black yes, but not undead black. Not even flesh black. Her entire right leg was the same rigid, cold black, fashioned from steel and black military grade plastic. While it had the shape of her leg, the truth of the matter was it wasn't even hers.

She looked embarrassed, a little ashamed even, something that quickly went away as her discomfort led her eyes to the ambulance window and she saw the van.

FUCK!

Rick frowned. "That aside... sounds like we've got company." He pointed a thumb out the door. He moved to the doors, before hesitating. If it came down to a firefight, then he'd be next to useless. But maybe he could... well, what could he do, except flash that jacket?

Arnold to could see the Van.

"Oh shit!"

Arnold drew out his gun, shut the doors to the ambulance, and grabbed Sharon by the hand.

"Stay down! We let everyone else shoot it out, while we wait in here, safe!"

Quickly, franticly, she scribbled away.

Can't do that! Not gonna sit here and watch them die!

But if she went out there in the open, no cover to be found, chances are she wouldn't last long. She'd be like a firecracker, go out in a blaze of glory, but go out nonetheless. Part of her liked the idea. But a larger part, that part, did not. Besides, she thought,

What would that do to him?

Arnold's hand shook, but held firm around hers. It was the grip of a man with nothing much else to hold on to. He really did care. And if she went down here, well, who knows how he'd react. But still, there was just no way she could... She grimaced, wracking her brain. There had to be a better way to do this.

Sharon grabbed the hunting rifle, twirled it around so the barrel was pointing behind her, and with all her might, rammed the ambulance windows with the butt of the gun. First hit shook the glass. Second cracked it. Third shattered it, pieces holding together by mesh alone. She wiggled the gun barrel into the smashed web of glass, stabbing holes into the mesh where she nestled the business end of the rifle. Clearing up space to see, she flicked off the safety and trained the sights on the opening doors of the van.

Rock and roll.

Arnold looked on as Sharon smashed the windows and started shooting at the van. He was terrified, but strangely attracted.

"Okay, we'll have it your way..."

Arnold raised his handgun and began firing alongside Sharon.

As soon as the driver set foot outside of the van, a bullet cleanly pierced his throat. Shortly afterwards, Harkness's shot shattered the glass: The van's windows weren't bulletproof.

The remaining looters scrambled for cover.

Arnold shot at the Scrambling looters from the cover of the ambulance. He managed to get five shot before he began hearing nothing but clicks. His gun was out of ammo.

Sharon spotted an arm out of cover. She centered the sights on the elbow. Bang. A football helmet peeked out from the side of a car. Bang.

Love? Sharon hadn't had much experience with love. Guns? Now those she knew her way around. She was back in her element. Seeing no more targets, she ducked underneath the glass to reload when she heard a ting! strike the side of the van. Seemed the smarter ones had dug themselves in deep and waited. Good to know.

She motioned for Arnold to get down. From here, it'd be one hell of a waiting game.

Arnold, still behind cover, looked at Sharon in awe.

"Wow, you're really good..."

Cail was sick of sitting around in the apartment feeling sorry for himself, so know he was trudging along the street, the *thwack* *thwack* rhythm of his machete bouncing of his left thigh comforting, the 12-gauge shotgun in his hands even more so. He was single minded with one objective; get to the local wal-mart and survive, it was the only place he could think of and knew how to get to with enough supplies to survive. And if he was in luck, find survivors, if not, well...he glanced at his shotgun.

Cail was probably a mile from the apartment when he broke stride as he heared a *thud* in the general direction of wal-mart, much like an explosion, more curious then cautionary he broke out into a trot for wal-mart, if he was right that explosion meant people.

Soon he was only two blocks from wal-mart and he knew it would be right round the corner, suddenly he saw an armoured van fly past the street up ahead, Survivors! Cail went in to an all out sprint turning the corner to see the van screech into the wal-mart parking lot, which had more survivors it seemed, Cail smiled to himself and was even able to let out a laugh of relief.

Then something wierd happened, the van's occupants clambered out and started shooting at the other survivors, the other survivors returning as good as they got, maybe even better. After a few moments of gawping Cail threw himself back round the corner for cover and peered round it, a dark but pragmatic thought hitting him. Ally with one group and earn their trust. He continued to see the vans owners getting hammered as they were being attacked from around the entire lot, he decided who to side with. From the angle he was on he had full view of at least three of the van's occupants who were concentrating on the other side of their van in the direction of the lot. Sitting ducks, Cail thought to himself.

He placed his 12-gauge on the ground, slung his backpack down and slipped his rifle around. Cocking the bolt action he raised it up and took aim down the scope at an ugly bald guy who was reloading behind the cover of the van, in plain view. 130 yards, no wind, still target, Cail coudn't have asked for an easier shot. He breathed in and squeezed the trigger...

Steven's eyes went wide as soonn as the firefight broke out. The raiders may have been aiming at the van, but still. And he still knew nothing about any of these people. Who was kind, who was malicious. He just saw a bunch of fighting. He could try to pick a side and help, but from this distance no way was he gonna hit anything. And he had never shot at a person before. A few zombies sure, but even that scared him. This was something different.

Choosing to ignore the other two inside the Wal-Mart for the time being, he went to a nearby wall and took cover. For now he could watch, then just hope that the victor wouldn't want him dead. He drew his pistol and held it tightly to keep from shaking, watching and waiting. If anyone came too close with intent to harm him, he would fight back with everything in him.

On the other hand, the people around the ambulance were kicking ass. The van was getting pelted and it looked like a few had gone down by now. So Steven just hoped really hard that that group that had already been here would not kill him after all this.

Seiko really had planned to say a little more when the newest people asked her questions about what was going on. Much as she was cautious about their intentions, it couldn't hurt to share what little she knew about the others. Having good information was incredibly helpful these days. She'd even started lowering her shotgun when the raiders arrived and the firefight started. The Japanese exchange student knew what to do when there were people fighting: she ran for cover behind a wall and prepared to defend herself.

Being that there were now two groups of people with guns, it seemed ever more likely that she'd have to take a side. She knew a little about the people around her - at least that they were largely non threatening towards her. These others clearly had raider written all over them. Raiders would be much more likely to take what female survivors they found and do nasty things to them. That made up Seiko's mind. The girl made her way around the wall, then dodged around a car to get a better angle to fire from. Once she spotted some movement from near the newly arrived vehicle, she leapt from cover and aimed right at the guy's face before pulling the trigger. Though there was an explosion of blood and tissue as his the shot nailed him, he managed to get a shot off too. And despite her knee pads, one of the bullets grazed her thigh.

She ducked behind the nearest car and held her gun close to her chest. The sting of the wound made her clench her teeth; she'd never been shot before, even if the bullet hadn't gone in. And amidst the combat, she felt incredibly frightened. Much as she wanted to stay where she was, she knew she had to change cover. Taking a deep breath she bolted for the ambulance, limping in her flight and finally falling just on the other side of the vehicle as a burst of radier gunfire missed her. Once she was there, she slumped to a sitting position and readied her weapon again. At the same time tears were forming in her eyes as she tried to subdue her fear and exhaustion.

"Kusou..." she gasped as she waited for the remaining raiders to come or be killed.

Steven gasped as he saw the girl run into the fighting. He watched her for now, since she was the only person beside the other guy he had any contact with. Yes, it was a stupid reason since he didn't know any of these people at all, but he had to focus on something or he would probably just panic. He had never been around so much shooting before.

He saw then what she did to that other guy and had to avert his eyes. All the blood and gore...he had seen plenty of it in video games, but nothing like this in real life. He could barely think of it, like his mind just automatically shied away from it. He looked back at the fighting and saw her limping away to the ambulance. Steven winced slightly but could only hope she was alright. Of course, assuming she was one of the good people, if any of these were good people.

The fight was clearly now on the side of the ambulance people, as he decided to call them for now. He bit his lip then pointed his gun at the van, letting off about 4 shots. They all went way wide, but at least maybe he could distract them or unnerve them, making it easier for the rest and ending this as soon as possible.

People were still shooting. Shotguns by the sound of it. 12-guage. Sharon flipped open a small pocket mirror, holding it at an angle to the window. The range was limited, but even then she could see the firefight. A certain someone had pulled a pincer maneuver and taken out two more.

She tilted the mirror just a smidge. The last raider, gripping his carbine like a lost kid grips their security blanket, rounded the corner where Seiko had taken cover. He was twitchy, paranoid, afraid of the little Japanese girl with the big shotgun. And most importantly, had entirely forgotten Sharon existed. An easy shot.

She lifted the rifle, centered in on the raider's bright red bandana, and sent a golden .308 arrow slamming into his head. The hunt had ended.

Cail's bullet pierced the bald man's sternum, 12 inches lower than he had aimed- seems it had been a while since he last fired a gun. He quickly swung back round the corner into the safety of the brick wall, it was then the gravity of what he had done had hit him. He had just killed a man, a complete stranger who wasn't even shooting at him- all in cold blood. Cail realised he how heavily he was breathing and calmed himself, he then cocked the rifle and crouched down and peeked around the corner barrel first, adamant that he should finish what he started.

Cail saw a hulking brute with a shotgun, clutching his elbow and seemed completely frazzled as to how his cormrade wound up gurgling blood on the floor. Oblivious to all this was a short stocky man with a carbine laying down fire on the survivours in the car park. Cail lined up the big brute, but not before the monster of a man saw him first and yelled at his partner whilst takin a shot off in Cail's direction. The shotgun pellets flew by harmlessly, but they still panicked Cail and he took is shot off quickly still managing to hit the monstrous man somewhere near the groin. The smaller one seemed to realise what happened to his party and fled out of sight. But the bigger man still had a bit of fight in him it seemed, as his back leaned against the armoured van and he managed to fire another round at Cail but it lacked any sort of accuracy and Cail managed to cock his gun and get off another shot, better aimed this time, and it thumped into the dieing mans upper torso, killing him for good.

Cail slunked back round the corner continuing to hug the wall, reloaded the remington and hoped the firefight had finished.

The Japanese girl's whole body tensed as she heard someone coming for her direction. In her injured state she wondered if she could defend herself against the man who came around the corner. Eyes wide from fear she couldn't subdue, Seiko raised her shotgun and tried to pull the trigger. Her finger twitched too much to steadily do so, though, which made her panic; she tried to get to her feet but her legs shook too and wouldn't respond correctly. She stumbled to a half crouched position when the raider's head jerked violently, his body collapsing to the ground. Seiko immediately staggered over and seized the dead man's carbine and ammunition, remembering what her host brother had said: 'always take the ammo, or you're gonna run out'. He'd been speaking of video games, but it seemed applicable here. When no more shots were fired for a few moments, Seiko limped out of cover, guns slung over either shoulder.

For a little while she managed to keep up her cold, calm expression as she returned to the ambulance. Once she got there, though, everything hit her again. Using the vehicle as a support, she slid back down to the ground and tensed when her injured leg hit harder than she would've liked. Then she tried to blink back tears, failed, and sat there with her legs pulled up to her chest, rocking slightly as she buried her face in those legs. All to hide the tears she didn't want anyone else to see.

Arnold was waiting in the cover of the Ambulance, having run out of ammo, but now it seemed that everything had calmed down. He turned to Sharon and asked;

"Is that it? Are they gone now?... Does this mean you can get back to answering my proposition?"

At that point, Arnold gave Sharon a hopeful smile.
