Steven smiled. "Hehe nice Arnold. Yeah Seiko, I understand needing to be prepared." He looked down at himself, in his only spare clothes left, then shrugged. "I'm just saying, it's nice as well as effective."

Alright, let's see. Shaorn shook the die around in her hand, and landed, against all odds, a six. She sighed, suddenly remembering why people hated playing Monopoly with her.

This is going to go badly.

Arnold looked down at the six dots facing upwards on the table, before smiling at Sharon, and kissing her on the cheek. "Nice one, Sharon! I guess that means you go first, then."

Steven laughed a bit and nodded. "Alright then. Looks like this is gonna be fun." He grinned at Sharon, an obvious and open challenge. He loved board games like things. Well then, bring it on. Meanwhile he wondered aloud, "Do you think they have snacks here? Ice cream maybe, cookies? What I would do for some sugar..." He licked his lips, sighing wistfully.

The group could hear a pickup truck, casually approaching the motel. It was Astrid's Amarok. She and Kaimi appeared at the door, covered in blood. She rang the bell.

"Astrid Nielsen's corpse removal service!!!", she said.

Jeff had been continuing his search for a good coat, forgoing the monopoly game. He didn't really like monopoly anyway, and figured he'd instead see if there was a good book to read. When the bell rang, he looked up and decided to go to the door and open it. Once he saw Astrid, his eyes widened and he stepped back.

"Whoa, what happened to you?!" Jeff asked, then thought of something more important to ask. "That's not zombie blood, is it?" he added a little worriedly.

Astrid sook her head: "Corpse blood. Blood from the guy we shot last night, more precisely. We've gotten rid of the carcass before it starts rottin'.", she said.

Kaimi frowned when he heard carcas applied to a human's remains, but he didn't say a thing.

Sharon heard the truck pull up, but decided to ignore it. She had a game to play, a relatively sane past-time that didn't involve zombies or high-as-a-kite bikers. She could work with this.

"Astrid Nielsen's corpse removal service!" Sharon screwed her eyes, determined to unhear that. Just ignore it. Everything those assholes did was sheer lunacy, and she was going to have no part in it. She had something she could do instead of giving two shits about those bikers, or their morbid sense of humor.

Alright, I'll go first, I guess. Sharon took the dice, shook them up a bit, and landed a 5. That set her on the Reading Railroad. A good start. I'll buy.

"So that's where you went, Astrid." said Rita, folding her arms. "Too bad, I thought you were eloping like those cheap novels." She added. "How're things outside?"

"So, I guess that makes me next," Arnold said, ignoring the arrival of Astrid, just as Sharon was doing. He took the dice, and rolled it across the table. "Hmm... a 3. So that brings me to Baltic Avenue... Eh, I won't buy yet, I think I'll play it safe... or something."

Steven looked toward the door. He ignored the general message and other business, but mostly because he was still thinking about cookies, or some other kind of snacks. In the middle of all this, he really missed snacks. Especially Oreos. He could really go for some Oreos... Steven zoned out for a moment but then remembered he was in a game and looked at the board. "Ah right. My turn then I figure. Hmm...8. I don't really feel like buying just yet." He looked around in the kitchen again.

OOC: Yeah I don't exactly know the Monopoly spaces by heart... -_- Sorry.

Seiko was too focused on watching everyone else play the game to pay much attention to the return of Astrid and Kaimi. Slowly the rules of the game returned and not a moment too soon. It had become her turn, so she took up the dice, rolled and moved, ending up on one of those really cheap light blue ones near the 'Go' space.

"Eh.. I buy that one.. then build hotel and make everyone pay me lots!" she remarked with a playfully evil expression, "Next."

Kaimi looked at Rita and chuckled.

"Way less romantic than that!. We were havin' a few drinks, then Astrid figured out we really should get rid of the corpse. Figured out we'd let y'all finish breakfast.", he said. "No use to get five guys in the car just to dump one dead body."

"He's been diggin' corpses out his whole career... Figured digging one in could be a change of pace.", she said.

Kurt looked at Astrid with a wry smile: "Still loyal, huh?", he asked. "What can I say? No better offers yet.", Astrid quipped back. "At any rate, didn't we have a store to rob?"

"That ain't robbery: Salvage, hun. Ain't like the dead owner's gonna need the stuff.", Scalps said.

Steven giggled a bit and looked at Seiko. "Um, I think you are supposed to get both of those spaces before you can make hotels. Aren't you?" He looked at the others for confirmation. It was how he had always played with others.

"Yeah, that's the rule I've always lived by," Arnold confirmed. Looking at Seiko, he said, "I don't think you can put a hotel there... for some reason. Don't worry, Monopoly is a confusing game."

"Not now, but I buy the other one and nothing stop me!" Seiko insisted, poking at the dice as she waited for the next person to roll. At least she remembered that much. All in all it was much easier to remember these rules than to remember the more complicated parts of gun maintenance.

Steven just had to grin then. "Oh...hehe sorry I questioned you. But I don't think you'll get the other one so easily." He winked then did his best impression of an evil laugh...which worked well until he ran out of breath, ending it pathetically. Wow Steven...learn to breathe apparently. He kept his smile, but was blushing in slight embarrassment now.

Watching Seiko and Steven, Arnold couldn't help but smile. "It's great to see that some of us are still able to have fun... even in our condition," he said, as he passed the dice over to Sharon. Lowering his voice to a whisper, he added, "Speaking of which... do we intend to stay here? I mean, having shelter is great, but I don't like the idea of staying with the Bikers. Something tells me we'll have to move on eventually."

Sharon typed under the table. We should wait until they're out of earshot, see what Steven and Seiko think. If we can get more people aligned with us, we may be able to remove the bikers from the picture without a fight and keep most of their stuff.

She typed again. For now, let's just play it cool and enjoy this little rest stop while we can.

Seiko actually laughed when Steven's attempt at evil laughter broke down. This was just a simple board game but somehow she was easily having the most fun she'd had in quite a while. Funny how the end of the world could make something so mundane so important and entertaining. Steven's girlfriend was a lucky woman, Seiko thought, though she felt like the odd one out at the table. He had a girl in California, Arnold the Salaryman and Sharon were together, and she was alone. That brought a frown to her face briefly before she jabbed a finger at the other cheap property.

"It will be mine! But no worry, Steven-san," she said dead serious, then smirked, "I charge you lower rent, because you are good guy."

Arnold nodded at Sharon's message, though something told him that the bikers were hardly the kind to do anything without a fight. "Well anyway," he said aloud, "it's your turn, Sharon."

Sharon rolled doubles. Ten. Right on over to the next railroad. To must, this would be a startling show of good luck. However, to Sharon...

I'll buy it, she typed, sighing.

Steven grinned a bit. "Hehe thanks Seiko. Together, our many hotels shall rule the world! Or the game board, whichever." He tried to hide his slight blush at her saying he was good. He spent so long away from other people, any compliment was rare and welcome. He smiled as he watched Arnold and Sharon. They were obviously discussing something, though it might just be something lovey dovey. He had no way to know, and now was not quite the time to ask. For now, he just smiled at any amount of happiness around here. Strange...joy wasn't seeming like such an out of place topic now. He saw when all the others got back and remembered last night's commotion. Guess they got that settled...good. Any possible hazard had to be dealt with, for all of their survival. He didn't like that thinking, but there was no doubting how true and effective it was. As Sharon rolled well Steven smiled at her and chuckled. "I see you have more than some small amount of luck at this. Hope it's enough though." It was a playful challenge, hopefully to make sure everyone was revved up and excited for this little game. No one lived forever; make the smiles last. So Steven thought, and hoped.

"Wow, you're doing really well at this," Arnold said to Sharon, as he took the dice himself. He threw the dice to the table and examined it. "Okay... so that means I go... here! Oh, it's a chance card! Let's see... go directly to jail. Huh, I'm guess I'm not as lucky as Sharon."

Seiko was surprised that her comment had gotten such a response out of Steven, considering how off-handed she'd felt it to be. On the other hand any emotion besides abject terror or despair was likely a good thing. Not worrying too much about Sharon's incredible luck she moved again, landing on a space that required her to take a Chance card.

"Actually.. I will build no hotels.. zaibatsu instead!" she decided before reading the card, which turned out to be,"Eh.. 'You win second place in a beauty contest. Collect $10.' So who won first? Sharon-san?"
