The song is purposely sung badly isn't it? [lol]

Also according to the Author on twitter, if not for 4Chan supporting the Manga, not only would there not be an anime, the manga would have likely been canceled by now.

New Chapter is out in which Tomoko becomes a fullfledged Heroic Comedic Sociopath , causing me to laugh through the entire read.

I'm starting to have a hard time sympathizing with her, considering that most people treat her decent enough and she still is kinda cruel to them in her thoughts.

She's always been a rather horrible person.

Actually the literal meaning of the title kinda implies this.

That said, this is not the reason I'm making replying anyway—I mentioned this once in this thread, and one other person mentioned in work page's discussion—should we move the title to Yen Press' title of No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular!? A negative answer is far better than no replies at all...

[up]Well I like the fandom title better.

I'm pretty sure official titles are prioritized over fandom titles. Plus that one's a more accurate translation, isn't it? It's the one Wikipedia uses, and there's an "omae" in the Japanese title, but the fandom title lacks the "you guys" for some reason.

I think Ask The Tropers might be the more appropriate place, since you have a higher chance of getting noticed by site staff there.

The fandom title is better, really. I don't know what it is with Japanese and Overly Long Titles, but us westerners prefer something a little more concise. That said, official translation is still the official translation. Use that as the page title, and make It's Not My Fault I'm Not Popular a redirect.

Say that a Wikipedia influence, I personally dislike unilateral actions despite I'm sure this is according to established policy. This is why I'm asking you all.

I'm not sure what you mean by "say that a Wikipedia influence".

Anyway, using the Perapera Japanese translator add-on, I get

  • Watashi = I; me;
  • Ga = indicates subject, can also mean "but", "however", "still"
  • Motenai = unpopular
  • Kangaetemo = to consider; to think about; (this is probably where the "how I look at it" comes from)
  • Omae = you
  • Ra = indicates plural
  • Warui = at fault; to blame; in the wrong; (among other things)

Basically, "it's you guys' fault" sounds really more accurate than "it's not my fault".

Kinda long, but the title already sounded damn long in Japanese.

[up] That's still not very accurate. It's missing any meaning from the "Kangaetemo" part, and the "your" there doesn't sound like a plural "your".

I guess that's a passable translation, but I'm pretty sure wiki policy is to follow the official title.

Anyway, I posted about this on Ask The Tropers so more people can notice, and hopefully we can get a few moderators to reply.

She is pretty vicious when thinking, but I guess most people would be punched in the face if their thoughts could be read.

BTW: I included Komiyama (from the spin-off) in the characters page.

I half-expect people to just call it "Watamote"...

Actually, has there been an official English title, or is that just an English translation of an official Japanese title? We should just keep the Japanese title if there is no English one.
