I do, however, have the PC copy of the first Halo sitting in my games library, and I see no reason why I should shell out money for a game that's just the same singeplayer as Halo 1 with better graphics and the same multiplayer as Reach with different maps, even if I had a 360.

Dude, i'm so not getting it. For me, Halo ended with Halo 3; reach was kind of like icing on the cake.
And maybe it's me, but i'm getting tired of the whole "run around in space shooting lasers" thing; I'll stick with modern weapons.

The remake is a mixed bag for me. I hated Reach's multiplayer and the campaign alone doesn't really justify the purchase. I might just wait until Halo 4 instead.

There was discussion before in the Halo 4 thread about how he may have always had it, but I'm guessing it was just a cheap retcon for coolness.
Watch the trailer for 4 again. It's really obvious when you see the Chief standing on the exterior of the Forward Unto Dawn and the camera faces him directly.
Sigh.....fuck MC. After Reach, Jorge and Emile are my favorite Spartans. MC is like that mildly-retarded, obsessive kid you knew in school.

What are the odds that the surviving member of Noble Team and Halsey will turn up eventually?
I'd suggest that the remaining Spartan-II Is from Ghosts of Onyx would turn up, but I'm not sure of the canonicity of that novel.
