My experience with fishing in games has largely been limited to Fishing Minigames, although the one in Ocarina Of Time is pretty great.

So... there's been a bunch of 'fishing' games sitting in the local arcades for a while. I guess it might be more accurate to call them 'net gun games'. Here's an example.
The thing is, the players are all mostly older folk whom I hadn't believed were into games until now- maids, blue collar workers, seniors and the like.
Anyone has more info on this stuff? I get more and more puzzled by it each time I pop into an arcade and see some middle aged people playing these things.
