@Pykete

A gun that shoots chainsaws? Is that even possible?

A New Challenger Approaches!

I have no idea how to interpret this.

If Rex Velvet and the Seattle force are in it together, this is going to be one hell of a publicity stunt. Other that than, my brain can't put together what's going on outside of one guy doing it For the Lulz.

One thing that I haven't seen brought up in this discussion is that the majority of real life superheroes don't go after fights. They are getting cats out of trees, helping old ladies cross the street, chasing purse snatchers. No where in where I read the story did I find anything about his trying to fight, just break it up. Everyone seems to assume he was trying to act like a cop, but my impression that he was trying to get them to stop and move on. The sequence of events to me suggests that he was trying to de-escalate the situation until the police showed up; it's stated he told the bystander that alerted him to the situation to call 911. And several have pointed out that you can't stop a fight without knowing what's going on. What's going on is that someone is beating someone else; you can stop that by separating them. Self defense has limits, and causing massive physical trauma to your would-be mugger is not considered self defense. The purpose of wearing the costume is to provide anonymity for fear of retaliation and bring awareness to their particular causes so people are inspired. Also, I have to rebuttal the point about Bruce Wayne keeping his identity secret. No one knew this guys name for over a year until he got arrested and his name got out. Interesting how he made public appearances, possibly getting paid a small fee, and he kept his identity secret as a known superhero; it's when he gets arrested that he complies with procedure and gets his real name in the news. Batman was an urban legend to the common people for decades; he also evaded arrest several times.

Thumped: for switching the discussion from the topic to a person. Doesn't take many of this kind of thump to bring a suspension. Stay on the topic, not the people in the discussion.
