And it's kind of low quality to boot. We can get this done with fewer panels, can't we?

I think if we just use a larger version of the last panel of the Ca H strip it would work perfectly

Easy. Just take the pic and cut off the first and third panel.

I found I had to mess with the Order Of The Stick suggestion quite a bit to get it to work at 350px:

[up][up] Heh, I like that one just for the extreme nature of the breakage.

As much as I dislike magic, even I have to admit that that Oot S comic gets the point across better. Plus hard hits are a much more common cause of Frame Breakage, if the current examples are anything to go by.

Hi! I'm new here, so I'm still getting used to things. How's my driving?

Order of the Stick. I can't see a way to get Cyanide and Happiness to work without including part of the copyright notice.

Just pointing out, maybe it's better if the frame isn't literally breaking in the image, since this trope is broader than the title implies.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Solar Slash's "Panel Play" comic series at least deserves an Image Links page mention, then.

And there's also part of a strip of Keychain Of Creation that would work rather nicely (Infinite Canvas Style is basically Frame Break As A Martial Art! as it is.) if it weren't so huge that the unreadable text would be a distraction when cut to wiki size.

I'd have waited a bit longer, but I think there's just barely enough consensus to drive.

The more I think about it, the more I want a less literal example.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

We really should've gotten some more consensus before running with that pic, but I'll hold off on taking it off the page in case that consensus comes later.

How about a more subtle version? (the way this trope plays out most of the time as that big one is just an Exaggerated Trope which according to this is bad...) EDIT another one.

I think 18 is more a stylistic thing rather than characters interacting with the frames in the sense meant by the trope.

This isn't a contender because it's too wide and complex, but I thought it was entertaining. Has some swearing.

Yeah, just popping a little out of the frame as an art style thing isn't really this trope. This is about interacting with the panel breaks.
