Has anyone figured out what the Colts were up to with that bizarre 4th down package? Seemed that the playcaller was drunk and doing acid at the same time.
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward! That was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my sports-watching ever. I'll take it, though.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonApparently, one of the Patriots standing over the "Center" heard him repeatedly say "don't snap the ball!", so there is that. According to Mcafee, the Colts have been practicing that play since last year, which just raises more questions. I mean, if nothing else it was a clearly illegal formation, so you could not snap it looking for 12 men on the field or encroachment, or even run the play-the best you could hope for is to incite a personal foul or unsportsmanlike conduct between snaps. Not quite sufficient to replace the Butt Fumble, but close-and the Patriots play the Jets next week. Seriously, WHAT.
That was the strangest thing I've seen in all sports that I've watched, and I've definitely seen extraordinary stuff before: If any of you care about hockey I was at the 3/15/14 Montreal/Ottawa game.
That Colts play was a special kind of extraordinary.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonIt's amazing that despite there being 7 turnovers between the two teams and Bradford playing double agent, the Eagles still won in a blowout.
To quote Link, "I'll take it."
Forward, boys! For God's sake, forward!the colts play was a swinging gate formation that tried to draw encroachment but failed because of snapping the ball and because the patriots are well coached
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterSo Chuck Pagano's brilliant plan was to hope his special teams unit was better coached and prepared than the freaking Patriots, and then psych out Bill Belichick by doubling down with a handful of nothing; play chicken with a real life Sith Lord, and win a staring contest with a Navy man whose gaze could make a cement wall shit bricks. On an illegal play where the only possible positive outcomes were inciting an encroachment penalty or forcing a burned timeout. Um...sure. You go right ahead.

Yeah, I really don't understand it either. But hey, we're at .500.
"I'm Commander Shepard, but I guess I'm now your therapist."Jags and Bills successfully tricked all the Brits into thinking that was a good game.
Well, it was dramatic, I'll give them that. And the Bills likely would've won if not for a complete bullshit pass interference call in the Jags' final drive. But yeah, it was pretty embarrassing play on the part of both teams.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. The Jags really lost cause Gus still won't be fired
I tuned in for just the 4th quarter and it was pretty entertaining
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterPoor, poor Texans...
Another green world.that was a great lateral
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterArian Foster carted to the locker room on a non-contact injury. Not a good sign.
EDIT: It's official. This could be the end of his career.

I have never been so relieved during a football game as just now when I watched Ricardo Lockette move his hands while being carted off the field. That was a very scary play.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. After amassing a 3-20 record with the Titans (and a 4-31 record in his last 35 games), Ken Whisenhunt has been mercifully relieved of his duties as Head Coach.

Regardless of whether or not Whisenhunt deserved to be fired, this can't be good for Mariota. I hope he doesn't turn out like Gabbert.
Another green world.I highly doubt Mularkey will remain the coach but I feel like the Titans could have waited until the end of the season before firing Whiz.
Mariota, coming off a serious knee injury due to crap O-line play and poor schemes would be reason enough. So much running with deficient blocking, the Titans are lucky it was not worse. And really; 3 and 20 win/loss record? Whiz did his part and got them the #2 pick. Keeping Mariota alive should be in more capable, or at least more conservative hands.
Also, WTF was that Rodgers? 77 yards? Mc Carthy makes zero in-game adjustments, but that was something else. At least we get another pile of evidence that ESPN's QBR stat is nothing but personal opinion. Rodgers grades out higher than Brady, after Tom posted 68.4% completion rate for 356 yards, 4 Touchdowns and no picks. According to ESPN, Brady's 2400+ yards and 20/1 TD to interception ratio leaves him as the number 28-30 starting quarterback in the league, every week. Really?

Having Whisenhunt as coach in the first place was much worse for Mariota's development than a coaching change could ever be. Leaving Mariota in that game a few weeks ago reminding me of RGIII in the 2012 playoffs against the Seahawks.

Fucking finally
“Kap benched”
😂🔫
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterKap benched one day before his birthday. I thought only Belichick did stuff like that.
