Yeah, if Kaito wasn't rattled then the "reveal" about the Orpheus armlets taking over Freecell's mind would have been a good enough justification for his stupid grudge. Not a good one, mind you, but good enough.
Episode 10: What happens when you try to stop puzzle maniacs from solving puzzles?! Hilarity, that's what!
Seriously, I laughed quite a bit.
Agreed.
Also, poor Nonoha...
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!So without Nonoha, the others become barely self-sufficient antisocial guys too absorbed in what they're doing, aside from Gyamon who apparently is fond of babying his sister. Wow. This really wasn't a good episode...
Next episode should be interesting though. I always found Jikukawa to be the most interesting character.
Episode 12: Gotta admit that Jikukawa makes for a great antagonist. He has the smarts, the style, and most importantly, the motive.
Of course, nothing's actually happened yet, but this episode was a good set-up.
Episode 13: Jikukawa shows how cool he is. He will be missed.
The next episode seems... hectic.
Episode 15: In which Rook faces off against a dog. In a puzzle match. Oh, anime, only you can take this kind of thing seriously.
Is it wrong that I'm excited for the next episode because Ana's older sister is coming? Who basically looks like Ana but, y'know, an actual girl?
So clearly Melancholy is the worst of the Five Bad Band... is that what this episode is suppose to show?
Speaking of does the trope Five Bad Band apply to the Orpheus Order?
Episode 18: In which Herbert Muller does a Heel–Face Turn— haha, fat chance. Double Rings, keeping villain villainous since whenever they were made. (I wasn't sold on Herbert being innately good anyway)
Is it just me or was the puzzle pathetic this episode?
I'm actually kind of interested in the next episode, where the focus is on Freecell.
Yeah... not a very good puzzle at all. But then again, that fits with the person who made it.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie! Finally got that semi-cleared up. I'm actually looking forward to the final confrontation now.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Episode 19: Actually a good episode. The puzzle was great, Freecell stops being stupid and actually ups the stakes by turning his fake Ring into the real thing, which improves his abilities, gets rid of the stupid Mama thing and foils the Orpheus Order's schemes. I wonder if Melancholy's Ring is the real one, since it seems she's in the know. Heck, she might even be Klondike! Or the one controlling Klondike.
The soundtrack helps a lot.

Melancholy being a more important character... I guess I can see that. She is the only one who doesn't make a good foil to one f the good guys. She has been set up to be Cubic's rival, but outside of the sliding puzzle on ice, they have not been in direct conflict. Still don't think it is that likely, but I'll admit it is a possibility.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Episode 20: We get to see Klondike himself! His appearance is classic evil scientist.
I am liking classy been-there-done-that Freecell.
Episode 22: Klondike shows why he's the boss. He doesn't even care about solving puzzles at all! It's like watching a Yu Gi Oh character do something plot-important without a card game.
Next episode: Could it be? Freecell vs Klondike?! Heck yeah.
Episode 24: Things take a turn for the weird. Freecell now considers Nonoha his mom.
Nonoha looks good with her hair down. Even Gyamon agrees!
Episode 25: A pretty good finale. God's Puzzle once again turns out to be a straightforward "puzzle" that the creator made not to be solved but to fulfill a need to be with Kaito.
The true final puzzle is Freecell's locket, and the poignant puzzle time that followed was the best part of the episode for me, mainly because it's the puzzle that actually deals with Freecell's issues.
The biggest surprise is Season 3. How.
I have no idea. Though they DID provide one possibility: Now that artificial rings have been made, there are quite possibly more people who will create/use these "fake rings."
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie! There's also a bunch of Fool's Puzzles to solve, yes, but I feel they're pushing it. Heck, I thought they were pushing it with the second season, what with the introduction of another secret puzzle-centered organization, and another white-haired pretty boy obsessed with Kaito, and... yeah. It's logically viable, but how will they make it an interesting story? Can't say I have faith in the staff's writing ability.
I'm also surprised that this is apparently popular enough to get three seasons. Huh.
EDIT: Oh wait, they can just turn into a rom-com puzzle-solving series of sorts.

Late.
We clearly haven't seen the last of Whist yet. Dude's got a chip on his shoulder. There's also some plot threads left dangling (like what made Ana sad in the first place or who Kaito's real parents are.)
Also Freecell isn't exactly a white haired pretty boy. In certain scenes his hair looks like it might be a really really light blond color. Then again light blond probably counts so...
S3 Episode 12: Thought it was worth commenting on. Because Herbert is back. And does something stupid again.
Oh, hey. Good to know I'm not the only one watching this.
Episode 17: In a move that once again makes me question the plausibility of another season, Orpheus himself takes on the mantle of Big Bad.
Episode 19: Gammon and Elena's spotlight episode.
Yeah... Kaito being that rattled has never made sense to me.
