THIS IS HILARIOUS! I think the last bit is a reference to Fables.
I am sure it is. I was really hyped by Fables'premise and rather enjoyed the first volumes, although the whole "evil anarchist" Goldilocks started making me cringe. Then I heard about the pro-Israel BS and...I was done with it.

Evil communist zoophiliac dominatrix Goldilock, to be precise.
It could be the title of a Magical Girl series.
But yeah, Fabletown is compared by Bigby to Israel, in that it is good policy to use assassination and terrorist strikes against hostile forces with a "a whole dentition for a tooth" mentality. Because that will scare your enemies off of fighting you instead of kicking them up into a frenzy.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Pretty much.◊ It says something about him that it takes leading his former valkyries(who got transformed into flesh eating monsters by him ages ago because they slept with men and didn't serve him 100% of their time)right into Hel and right to his face for him to cancel a curse.
