I wonder if they knew that Claire was Clementine reincarnated or not. They probably did, it's a little difficult to dismiss how similar they look, but they might not have.

Unfortunately, it's hard to gauge what people knew or didn't know about Claire and the Bright One early on, since it was almost literally a different comic back then.

Right? It's actually pretty relieving when you consider how a lot of arguments in recent comics could have been resolved by just talking it out.
I mean, one could make the argument that talking things out isn't very exciting and makes the situation too easy to solve, but whatever.
