@Gahddron's speech: Thanks to that last line I can't help but think the entire thing was a political ad airing during the commercial break of some TV show.
Thinking on my own tract...
Very good theological/political writing, Faux.
You missed Malta.

Huh. Someone said you gave them back to SOCR. Yours are the little group of red reaching out from Terra Nova.
The lands before us teem with life. That has been known ever since We Who Are made our paths through the stars. There were beasts to slaughter and sample, new forms for us to tame and reforge to our purposes. We Who Are did this, assured that only our people existed, the greatest hunters and the creators within our lands.
The day came when this ignorance was lifted. We Who Are found new prey, not mere beasts to shift to our will, but thinkers. They did not conduct any form of the blessed hunts We Who Are have known since the day of the First Speaker. Their gods were not ours, for We Who Are saw them not in our writings, nor would see any similarity. Their ways were as that of those who stand still. For this perceived abomination, We Who Are made war upon the other in these lands, to bring the Claw of the Master of Death on them. We Who Are hunted, and slaughtered, and laid waste to the other, in its many forms. They were as little as beasts to us, and less. We Who Are took their lands with their lives, to do with as was willed. But there was no greatness in this hunt, no righteousness. The new sands We Who Are sifted were then thick with the blood of those without a contract put to them. They were not beasts, and yet We Who Are made no contracts on them. New and false rites were provided to allow our claws to work on so many. It was a new ignorance, a new arrogance.
Our gods would show We Who Are their displeasure through the works of the other, they who showed us their worth with our humiliation. The chitinous ones thought broken despite their multitude fought on with the fury of cornered prey, slaying many Claws for every piece of land. The small and warm of blood whom were thought poisoned and weak, multiplied to numbers so many our claws could not cut through them fast enough. And the new hunters, they who are from lands far beyond, who broke our ships and instruments of war asunder in but a single clash.
We Who Are must learn from the Silent Crusade of Arrogance. The Glove of the Lord of Peace guides our way amongst the other. We Who Are must act with the humility of the highest Claws amongst them, they whom must be looked on with the caution of a hunter amongst hunters whom have been wronged. They have become strong thanks to our arrogance, and so are worthy of the hunt when it is lawfully called for. But they are many of them filled with hatred for We Who Are. They have not accepted the unholiness and madness of the long hate. Those closest to our lands would seek to hunt and destroy our kind for this hate. So We Who Are shall be like the trader of the caravan, welcoming and providing, while guarding what can not be given. Those from far beyond did not see the fullness of our wrath. They see a people whom their forebears bested long ago. They are unafraid, and so must be allowed to think our Claws are gloved. They are not to be made an enemy where We Who Are have many more.
Our people are still the greatest hunters and creators within our lands. Remember this when speaking to the other, and remember that in their own lands, they are of similar greatness. For those who hunt in their lands, remember that you hunt prey above the animal. A thinker is worthy of a contract, no matter their strangeness or lack of skill. Obey their laws whenever possible, for you each represent We Who Are in their lands, and fair treatment may not be possible. Do not do your people and your gods disservice.
Go forth amongst the other, to know them as entities of worth, and for them to know We Who Are as hunters of repute and crafters of great skill, not ill omens. Peace be upon you all, and with your journey.

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know how these tracts can be put onto the Wiki?
Click Contribute. Go to "Add a Page", a box will pop up. Enter in the name of the speech or address, hit "Add a page" again. On the new page, hit the tab that says "source". Copy what you wrote here and paste it on the new page. Add whatever other info you think is appropriate. Publish it.
Done, for mine at least.
What category should be made for them?
Probably "Documents" and whatever nation its from.
Parable; they weren't given back, he simply rejected my offer of being an autonomous territory of NAH. Ideally he'd get a new set of stars in a different color
How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Bleh. I am confuzzled now.
—rolls eyes—
Faux, for whenever you come creeping round, do you want to upload and title your tract?
Gleich, there's now a new category in the form of Documents. Feeling any inspiration yourself?
Welp, my own tract has been added to the wiki now.
EDIT: Would anyone mind if I added an article on these guys to the wiki as well? If only an article on the species itself, and so I don't have to hunt down the other thread whenever I need to find them?

The Danse Macabre CodexSeems a good idea to me.
Go for it.
Col: Nothing I can think of at the moment.

Malta recognize the Pope as their official head of state. The Pope is not the head of state of the NAH legally, thus legally they are different entities, even if the Pope is more closely affiliated with the NAH.
One Monarch, sixteen completely distinct and independent territories.
It's doable lol.

How can you be in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all?Updated map◊. Had to squeeze Rhodes in there.
On feeling the unrelenting heat of the Sun today, a thought occurs to me.
Do any of our factionss have the technology and capability of sending expeditions to and/or creating installations on the surface or at least near-orbit of stars? Further, if you can, how?

I don't. Unless you count throwing robots at the sun.
Introduction to "The Cradle: A Second Babel?" by known Artxandaldean priest and radical, Thomas Echeverria. Most requested essay of the year within Order supported Institutions. Originally written in Latin, translated by Matthaeus Scriven.
I stand in a nation divided. A thousand scattered shards of glass. Yet never in history has someone been prouder to say this, for each piece, each tongue and thought so individual in character, from planet to person and all the communities between, that when the light of God shines through us, one can see the image of humanity reflected upon the floor below. Yet how is this, this stained window, this mosaic held together? What is the glue that binds us? Tradition.
Too many see Tradition as an enemy of progress, or worse, a stumbling block to it. Yet this is not true, tradition is not a way of life, not a kind of song or clothing. Tradition is a way of thinking. A prism through which progress and ideas may pass to create a thousand unique images. Surely this is no clearer way forward than co-operation and dialogue between these equal and unique individuals for a thousand minds with two thousand hands shall do greater works than a lone mind with ten thousand.
Co-operation. Equality. Progress. Tradition. Let these be our watchwords as we labour united under God and find new open ears to the words as the alien ceases to be. A wise Roman once said; I am a man; I hold that nothing human is alien to me. Yet, he was a pagan and the world was yet young. Now let it be said better; I am a child of God; no creature of God is alien to me. Yet many of our brothers and sisters shun these exiled children stepping forward when we should treat them with love, as brothers and sisters divided by misfortune, united once more under a loving God.
Nay, instead, in pride, they seek to make themselves more alien. In vanity, they slice away at the image they were created in, while looking down upon how others were created. In extravagence, they cut themselves off from the fundamentality qualities, empathy and love of your fellow creatures.
This is an opportunity and we cannot let intolerance and bigotry that seeks to crush tradition and equality become the voice of the church. Such a voice deserves to lay buried on earth in the dark reaches that hide the Inquisition of Spain, the Silencing of Newton and Other failings of by fell days.
Yet, I assure you all, this ghost of the past whispers to us still. The darkness in a human's heart follows us forever, as the fruit in man's throat. It massages fears and wounds with old hatred, quietly hoping to drag us into these dark ages once more.
We cannot allow isolationism and extravagence become the voice of Christ.
This meeting of nations is an opporunity we will not see again within many lifetimes should it fail.
Do not weigh the sword against Newton's neck once more.
This is Progress.
Embrace it,
Thomas Echeverria.
