The current page image is just a bunch of trinkets in a suitcase, without any suggestion of what they do(only that they do, in fact, do something). Having grown up in The '90s, my first thought was naturally Mighty Morphin Power Rangers:

Lets see those are all Magical Girl Transformation Trinket s. The first one is Card Captor Sakura, second is Shakugan No Shana (misplaced.. hence why its asking why its there.) Third one is Sailor Moon, 4th is Futari Wa Pretty Cure, 5th not sure, Sixth Sailor Moon.

If we are going to replace it a collage of 6 or so images will probably be needed.

2 from each Toku, Magical Girl, Super Hero, yada showing the variety of them in action.

I'd say a three panel pic: first panel showing person with trinket; second with trinket activating, hopefully in mid-transformation; third with transformation complete.

[up] Oh can do that, there is one where the trinket literally sprays on the costume lets see...

[up] Not bad, but I don't think it needs 2, and the sides could probably be cropped some.

Two as in the second panel? Sides cropped and kept the same size or sides cropped and made bigger? I kept them the same size as they like to cause Amazing Techicolor Backgrounds and I R Lazy.

I think the fourth from Raso's post would be better in the middle - it makes it clear she's actually using the trinket.

That's good. I was just thinking cut some dead space from the right and left. There's an awful lot of background and it would make the image seem a bit smaller.

[up][up] Ok cutting and still keeping 350 ratio. Doing it by eye so hopefully it lines up right.

[1] [2] [3] These are the three images if someone wants to mess with the cutting and editing. All I got is picresize.com for that. (and actual editing together will have to be done in paint[lol])

And here is another one from the same series.... thats rather umm Les Yay? lol.

[up] You could take the second panel out of that and it wouldn't lose anything, to me.

Heartcatch Precure, the only series I could think of where their trinket is directly involved in their transformation which is a plus when trying to show that the trinket does do the work.

I'm looking through some Magical Girl webcomics right now, but I'm not having much luck. Other than that, a three-part picture of the normal-form hero holding the trinket, then it glowing, then the transformed hero might work.

@Raso: Both of your suggestions seem good to me. If nobody else objects to either one, we could run a crowner to pick which one to use (unless there is general consensus on one already), then combine the pics and resize them so that they don't take too much space.

Does anybody have any objections to the sequence in post 13? Should we run a crowner between that and 15's?
