It's a picture of Superman just sitting there. There's nothing in the image that shows him being smug or arrogant about his powers.

I can see how his expression could be interpreted as smug, but I'd like to see some other options...voting to keep it for now.

I would leave it alone, but his smugness is not really about his powers. He's more like... bitter, in context. Should we take it out of context?

Metroman doesn't look particularly smug for me.

Not a serious suggestion, but... tongue

The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.

I think the current one's a pretty bad image, but the trope itself is a bit confusing. There are tons of potential Superdickery images that could be used if it's just "Superhero being smug," but the trope as written seems to be less about "I've got super powers and you don't!" than "My super powers are better than your super powers!"

Making a brief first run, I found this image, which is fun but seems to be more a generic Superdickery thing than the description calls for.

I was just about to say Superman looks like an a**hole in that. Where did that come from?

Well, that's Golden Age Superman for ya. He did that sort of thing a lot. There's a bit more context here, but not a lot, and it doesn't make Superman look much nicer!

I'm assuming Superman doesn't actually let the dude die, but that's not necessarily a given. Looking at random through some early stories, I found a bit where Superman encounters a soldier (Supes being in the middle of meddling in a Latin American civil war - he did that sort of thing a lot too!) who's torturing prisoners. Superman just grabs the guy and throws him over the treeline that's at least a couple hundred yards away.

No indication from the writing or art that there's a big lake there, or a pillow factory or something. There might be, but the story ain't supplying that info!

Shortened the hottip, but even in context, this isn't really the best example. The grin is dickish, though.

The trope is about arrogance more than Superdickery. I'd want a picture of him flaunting his powers, not just being a dick.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

I agree the pic doesn't fit the trope.

As for a suggestion, perhaps Darkseid? He's normally pretty smug.

[up] That might fit Evil Gloating more, but if you've got an idea, go ahead and post it.

[up]I would, but can someone tell me how to post pics here? Putting them on Imageshack or the like isn't working and that's the only way I know... Which is REALLY annoying when I try to help out with these things and don't know how to do it.

Also, it has to use a name that's not an exact duplicate of another name, and the name can't be too long or it runs into the autohyphenator (I think it's somewhere around forty characters).

Fight smart, not fair.
