I like Ami, Hotaru, Minako, and Haruka. Hopefully the Outers don't take forever to show up. And hopefully everyone won't be so dependent on Sailor Moon to finish off baddies.

If it does end up being more based off of the manga, then it's likely that the other Senshi will get a chance to beat villains themselves, since I'm pretty sure they do that more often in the manga. There were a few times in the anime, though, one where Sailor Mars defeated the youma in the story where she first appeared, and one where Sailor Jupiter defeated a daimon after going through training at a temple in the mountains. And because it was directly based off of a manga short story, Sailor Mercury got to defeat a monster all on her own in the "Ami's First Love" short. I think Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune had a few times where they dealt the final blows, too, mostly at the beginning of the S season before Sailor Moon got the Spiral Moon Heart Attack power.
I was wondering when more information will be released on the remake. Toei usually releases information on upcoming Pretty Cure series in October, which then premiere in February, so I think we might information about five months before the remake is released.

And THAT folks is why I prefer the anime over the manga. One-shotting is such sorrowful shit and makes me Rage Quit on a show as much as I do certain levels of a video game.

True. Then again, both have their benefits.
The manga let the other Senshi do a bit more, and let Usagi(and Mamoru)be more competent in battle.
The anime did much more with the villains, giving them actual character.
One Strip! One Strip!Any news on a possible release date for the reboot, or any leaked images?

I haven't actually seen the show or read the manga (though I intend to read the manga once it finishes being released again. Also plan on watching the new anime) but based on design alone I have to say I like Neptune the most.
Nothing yet, and believe me, I'm on constant lookout.
Sooner or later I'll probably be active in this forum. The filipino dub sure helped me get interested in the show. So far Ive reached S (it was worth seeing).
Inexcusable! My wrath is boundless.
Though we should have seen this coming perhaps.
Hopefully it'll still be out this year given that it is, you know, the anniversary year.
"DAMN IT!" is right. I was really looking forward to that. :(
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Perhaps they simply need to take more time to do things correctly, rather than doing a rush job? Since there was mention of it being released worldwide rather than just in Japan, they may also be taking more time to subtitle and/or dub it for releasing it internationally.
It would be nice to have it sooner, especially because if it released in June it could have been on or close to my birthday (June 23) but I wouldn't want them to do a rush job and make something that ends up not being as good as it was intended to be because they didn't have enough time to complete it fully.

There's a lot to adapt.
I'm sure they have to figure out who to use, and what their role will be.
What stuff from the manga and the original series to use and all that.
It's not gonna be easy.
I'm also unhappy with the situation, but lets see where things go first.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm upset but I saw it coming. For a show that was set to debut this summer, there was a serious lack of well...anything. No concept art, no production art, no real casting news or trailers or anything.
It sucks but let's hope they're using this time to make a quality product.
This won't end up well at all.
I have been wondering if the popularity of Madoka was a factor in Toei deciding to remake Sailor Moon.
don’t call me nerdy [img][/imgNah, it was just the anniversary of the series.
Toei already has it's Ball bustingly successful Pretty Cure franchise, anyhow.

Watch SymphogearIt might also have something to do with the very successful re-release of the original Sailor Moon manga in North America.

I miss the death busters.
It does seem like the Magical Girl genre is experiencing a revival.
I said Madoka was a possible factor. I do think the success of the English manga release and the popularity Toei's Pretty Cure franchise were factors in deciding to do a remake. Puella Magi Madoka Magica has done for the magical girl genre now what Sailor Moon did for it 20 years ago.
Please don't the release till 2014, please don't the release till 2014

I liked the Witches Five myself. Though they were all one shotted in the manga, in the anime, they were a wacky bunch.
Needed some work on their teamwork though.
