I think the subtext is "realistic BIG breasts". I highly doubt we will see a B-cup anytime soon in DOA.
But, well, we'll see.

Yeah another ayane > kasumi fan. Though after watching a playthrough of Dimensions Ayane seemed like REALLY petty and bitchy. I still like her over Kasumi but she lost a few kegs for me. Hitmomi is probably my fave girl at the moment, and looks a bit better now but I still would like the women to have more defined bodies and curves.
The boob business sounds silly.
But even then, they would have to tone down the bouncing, which would make it less fanservice-y, to do something that could be called "realistic" in some way.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Bah, what we've seen so far wasn't too unrealistic…
Wait, they actually confirm characters for these games? I would hope that everyone is present, seeing as there are only 20 of them in the first place, and two are the same guy.
Zack… Best. Costume. Ever. The arenas also look incredibly lively. http://www.jeuxvideo.com/news/2012/00058723-images-de-dead-or-alive-5.htm
But wait… are we sure this clown is Zack?

If Lei-Fang and Zack were to be cut, I would get angry, since they've become my favorite female and male characters, respectively. I don't think that they are actually confirmed, as more their DOA 5 appearances have simply been unveiled.
Lei-Fang looks the same as ever, just less (but still quite) plastic doll-like, like the designs of the other girls. Zack is... well, Zack. I don't really like this outfit, but it fits very well to him. I guess the weird alien costume became boring and so he received a... weird disco-clown costume. At least, this is what it looks like to me. Reminds me of Ronald McDonald, actually.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Reminds me of Miror B.◊.
Trailer from E3. Sarah from VF confirmed.
I always assumed that the "toning down" of the breasts was just marketing and advertising spiel.
Anyways, here's some screenshots from Gematsu. Bass, Tina and some more alternate costumes.

Zack got lighter, wtf.
That clown Hitomi costume made me want to cry.
Tears of joy or tears of blood? Personally, I find it odd, but sorta fitting.
Also, a Collector's Edition is in the works, though it's Japan-only at the moment. If it does come out here though, I'm definitely getting it!
Did I see Ryu bow in apology after battering his opponent?
Lei-fang vs Zack
This arena and its music are awesome. Nothing more to say.

Am enjoying the tournament here at E3, but oh Zack...
Jonah FalconHe did, however, safe Helena at the end of Dimension's story mode. That's quite something.
I repeat myself, but I'd like him to have a bigger role. Not that this is likely. He'll probably stay a pure comic relief character, occasional (that is, one-time) heroism notwithstanding.

People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Technically, it was at the end of DOA4, but yeah. The comedy thing is kind of his schtick, and I don't think that'll change any time soon. Besides, he's hilarious.
Considering he's wearing an afro made out of flowers, yeah, he's stuck in that role for awhile yet.
After playing with sarah a bit in VFFS, I think she might be one of my mains. <3 Sarah.
Some presentation videos for a few characters (Bayman, Christie, Kokoro, Kasumi, Akira and Zack).

Well, nothing special. The highlight of the game really seems to be the arenas.

Wait...male fighter? What?
Is that weird?
Also, what are male players supposed to do with collector bikinis…?
Wouldn't "more realistic breasts" logically mean that they tone down the fanservice? Or is it "realistic" in the same way ragdoll physics are realistic?
