I have to say, the description has been vastly improved by the various edits here. (Great work, guys.) It really was a total screed, and I believe it encouraged people to word all of their entries in the most outraged fashion possible. If we could clean those up a bit, I personally would be satisfied with the repair.
Guessing at the motives for a trope's existence is a very tricky business at times. Is it "okay"? Is it "harmless"? The only thing we're sure of is that it's different.

Motives notwithstanding, it's "less objectionable". That's probably enough to make a trope.

I agree with the above, but the description (see: the very first post of this discussion thread) is that female-on-male abuse is "good" and "justified" because females are morally superior. The examples on the page however, seem to be far more skewed towards instances where female-on-male abuse is blown off as not really all that big a deal, not very harmful, and most of all, not traumatizing to the man. So yeah, saying okay = harmless is true, but in this trope description, it seems to be saying okay = a good thing. "Okay" has lots of meanings.
