I suspect that by the time DOA is done he might have some darkness he wants to explore (perhaps next gen agents?)
Read my stories!I started reading Shortpacked when I'd already caught up to the present with the Roomies rerun and Dumbing of Age. I read at least half of the archive while I was freshly moved into this new town and unemployed, so I had nothing to do all day. This was in November, so I knew there wasn't going to be much left when I caught up.
When I realized the main characters were getting their own denouements in advance, I got a lot of the withdrawal depression that normally comes from the end of a binge out of the way even before I was caught up.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHey i couldn't find a forum for its Walky so i guess this is the best place to put this, but I started a character sheet for Its Walky. I apologize in advanced if I wasn't supposed to for whatever reason but I was getting sick of there not being one.
mehI don't see what would be the issue. The purpose of a wiki is to be edited by anyone, so you are absolutely right into adding a character page.
Btw, if Its Walky discussions are to be made here, should we ask a mod to change the thread name?
I don't think it's a problem, given that Walkyverse has no character page either.
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Thanks, Shortpacked already has a character page and so does dumbing of age so I think thats why. What do you think we should do about characters that are already on the Shortpacked page but play a major part in Its Walky? (Eg. Robin and Mike)
mehI'd just link to the Shortpacked character page.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I'd either:
- move them completely to the It's Walky character page and link them from the Shortpacked! one, because the former came first chronologically
- Or split them, keeping all their tropes specific to Shortpacked! on that page.
For real actually!
Since it couldn't be referenced in DOA yet
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Yes, wWillis the age of that kid does make me feel old. And regret just how much time I've spent reading these comics.
I'm not sure if I've posted in this thread before but whatever...
I don't remember when I discovered Shortpacked. It must've been at least a couple of years ago and I only had to see a couple of strips to decide that I had to archive binge it and as soon as I was done with that I started following the comic regularly. I didn't read the other comics by Willis, though - I relied on Shortpacked to stand on its own, letting the mythology gags and such simply fly over my head.
Now that Shortpacked is through I've started reading through Roomies and It's Walky and all the rest through the site where Willis is publishing them in chronological (that's plot-chronological, not publishing history-chronological) order. It seems the more serious stuff is about as good as Shortpacked, and I've only read through maybe a couple years' worth of stuff, by which point the comics probably haven't reached a point where they could even glimpse a clue as to where their peak will be. I'm guessing that by the time I'm through the other comics Shortpacked will not stand out as the best of them, though it certainly does now that I'm 100% through it and only starting with the others.
What a great comic and 'verse. Not my favourite webcomic but close. As for the ending, I liked it. I had noticed that characters were getting their endings (or being moved to other comics) gradually throughout the past couple of years but for the most part Willis was able to carry Shortpacked without characters that had been central until he faded them out. I have a hunch that the storyline that Shortpacked closed on will eventually get some kind of resolution (although it doesn't necessarily need one), maybe in a couple of years' time if Willis doesn't have any other megaproject on his plate.
