it is up, but only for subscribers. no previews either.
Managed to see it through other means.
It's... really light on non-sex interaction, but what's there is humorous and touching. Like last time, the ending is what got me.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987And the tags have given out the triplet's names: Gabby, Abby, and Tabby.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Id say that those are nicknames but knowing their mom they arent.
To me, this latest skip feels less like "Shortpacked will stop being updated by the end of the year" and more like "screw it, I'm ending this webcomic ASAP". Maybe because Distant Finale is a thing.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Eh. We were right in the middle of a story arc revolving around this particular event. It would be dickish to just skip ahead without resolving it.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I don't get it. Did someone say something stupid over the Internet again?
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Eric Stephenson said that Transformers Comics, G.I. Joe comics and Star Wars comics aren't the "real thing". He immediately qualified it with the fact that with Star Wars, for example, the comics are not the main element. The movies are. The comics are a nice accessory, but the existence of the Star Wars movies don't really entice people to read the comics. The Walking Dead on the other hand is explicitly based on a pre-existing comic book franchise, so the show is an accessory here.
I think what he was trying to say is that the comic book industry needs new, unique output. Adaptations and extensions are fine, they just won't entice all that many people to start reading comics. He uses SAGA as an example of this because it's new and it's not an adaptation, and apparently it appeals to a mostly untapped market.
Essentially, he just used the wrong phrase. And he never said that the other comics should not be published.

Not Three Laws compliant. That just seems like an odd sentiment, because anytime a comic gets adapted the adaptation will pretty much always reach a wider audience.
Man... this story being uploaded to the site is absolutely gut-wrenching.
The events surrounding the sextape scandal were really fucking brutal.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Well, the new porn was hilarious.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I've been waiting for this moment ever since the two started dating. I was curious to see how Willis would approach such topic. The elephant have been hanging on the room for quite a while already so it is interesting to see it finally being addressed. I am very curious how this will turn out. I hope they menage to solve this issue in a way that is not terribly painful for everybody.
On a related note, Wack'd posted a very interesting Tumblr post about the current story. A worth read.

Thanks for the plug, though it's not so much about the current story so much as it is about the dumb fucks talking about it, and every other story with Ultra-Car in it since she and Malaya became an item.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.I meant to say originally the post was about "asexuality in general and how the fandom reacted to the current story line" but I thought it was too long and clunky.
Anyway, it is a good post. Not many people, me included, know much about asexuality at all. It makes difficult to relate and understand Ultra-Car properly. That is why I wanted to see this story to happen, this is a subject that should be discussed more often.
Like any car, she can be customized with "attachments".
"Show us the Galaxy Warp."I understand Ultra Car just fine, it's Malaya that I think needs a bit of a talking to.
Read my stories!A girl I knew at college - we were in a club together - is a heteroromantic asexual. And very frustrated about not having a boyfriend.
It doesn't really have anything to do with anything. I just figured I'd mention it.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. After reading Stephenson's speech it seems like Willis took away something from it that Stephenson didn't intend. Like, at all.
Have to admit, I fail to understand how a relationship between people of incompatible sexual orientation can work well for everyone involved, unless sex is decoupled from the relationship (something Western societies vehemently disagrees with). At least one of the partners is bound to be unhealthily frustrated for the lifetime of the relationship...
In fact, that was the main cause of Leslie's marriage failing, wasn't it?

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Well, it depends on "incompatible."
There are sexual people willing to not have sex if it makes their ace partner uncomfortable. And there are asexual people willing to have sex if it makes their sexual partner happy.
But in this case...I'd say that Malaya and Ultra Car are verging on incompatible...at least, given the interactions we've seen so far.
Read my stories! And so, the Ultra-Car / Malaya storyline ended.
An interesting conclusion, to say the least.
All I can say is, that is NOT what "making it rain" is supposed to mean.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It's a well written one, in my opinion. It handled how sex in an ace relationship can happen, without either side coming across as "giving in."
Read my stories!
Don't have a Slipshine so I can't see it.
Hope it's good
Oh really when?
