Longshoremen are dock workers/cargo handlers. These are the guys who load and unload cargo from trains and ships at a port.

It is one union acting like a bunch of idiot thugs because another union got hired instead of them. Quite honesly I would haul them off in cuffs for what they have done.

To be honest, living in a port town and being friends with many longshoreman, I don't have a lot of sympathy.
They get paid out the fucking nose for the work they do. All the longshoreman I know drive BMW's and shit.

Such is the entire problem with unions, they are there to ensure that workers are not mistreated, but they always end up getting greedy and taking more than they are worth.

Problem: people think unions have some kind of "moral high ground." Reality: they are merely "more moral" by being the weaker party. The weaker party will always be more upstanding... until they get power and can do whatever.
Unions and corporations are interchangeable terms. The only difference is who is being emphasized at the expense of all others.
