Every shot is to kill.
You can't just wing people, that's Hollywood nonsense.
Oh really when? You CAN "wing" people, but it takes an expert marksman and a LOT of luck to not hit anything vital. And even then, the blood loss, the shock.......it's easier to win a nobel than it is to shoot someone without killing them.
Willis is gonna kill off Dina. Oy.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117What I meant was whether Toedad was in "shoot to kill" mode or "point with gun to intimidate" mode.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Well, there are a lot of things that could happen next, but whatever does happen, I suspect that Dina has just achieved one of her life's ambitions.
= Spindriver =That "Let's put our hands over you in prayer" line (implied "to chase away the gay") made my blood boil...
And then Dina showed up, all "RAWWWWR", and made me chuckle.
And then I realized that Dina was in a fight with a man armed with a rifle/shotgun. Toedad could very well shoot her by accident (though, as someone pointed out, his finger isn't on the trigger, which makes me think he brought the gun solely for intimidation and doesn't want to shoot anyone ~ he is stupid all right, but maybe not that stupid).
Dina, get the hell out of there D:

Honestly? You don't point a gun to intimidate either. You point a gun at things you intend to shoot.
As the prior poster pointed out, good trigger discipline on the part of Toedad. You don't see that often. Last thing, while I know it's probably supposed to represent crooked dinosaur hands, the last post makes Dina's hands look broken.
The only snag is that, so long as she's at close quarters, she has a chance of keeping the gun pointing away from her. If she tries to get away, he gets a clear shot.
Assuming that the point of this scene is not Dina taking a bullet, there are two possibilities; somebody shows up to help (and smacking Toedad over the head, hard, would be fully justifiable), or Dina wins despite all her obvious disadvantages here.
Which isn't quite as stupid as it sounds. Dina isn't scary-crazy, but she ... doesn't operate by standard human socialisation standards. I could imagine her fighting very dirty indeed, and being surprised that anyone else was surprised, because it was just the obvious thing to do. And she's got surprise. Toedad could end up with fingernails in his eyes and a broken nose before her has much chance to react.

= Spindriver =Apparent trigger discipline aside, remember that he had his gun raised and pointed in the general direction of (what he assumed was) his daughter, who he supposedly just wants to bring home. Presumably alive.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Perhaps he tried the rock salt thing? (which as my research showed, is not realistic, but he may not realise that really)
I'm pretty sure the FAQ or so.ething says no one will die in this comic so... I'm holding out hope Dina wins this
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."If Dina wins this the arc will be over. It seems a bit anticlimatic to me.
My best hope is that Dina menages to get away before getting shot, but I really wouldn't be surprised if she wasn't that lucky. Sure, she won't die, but that doesn't mean she won't end up in the hospital after this.
Uh, no. The specific threat of Toedad would be over, but Becky's illicit situation in a university room might well be exposed, Becky would still need a job, everybody would have to deal with the fact that Dina can cut loose enough to defeat an armed and grown man, and Becky's family will most likely have to deal with having her father in prison.
Lots of plot left spinning.
= Spindriver =Agreed that Dina just beating Ross wouldn't quite be an anti-climax. There are pretty much only three ways this can end: Dina and/or Becky beats Ross physically, Ross beats Dina and/or Becky physically (possibly including shooting them) but is stopped before killing them, or the campus police show up and save the day before anyone gets hurt. Any of these scenarios will likely also involve Joyce playing a role, maybe by leading the police to where everything is going on. Dina winning would be sufficiently climactic, though I'll admit I don't think it's going to happen within the next two strips.
I feel like Marcie might be willing to let Becky room with her, if Becky can get a job to help pay the rent.
Which Becky was about to do anyway before this happened.
I don't think Marcie would mind too much. Depending on how annoying she finds Becky.
Apparently there's someone who will help him pray over Becky, but that could just be Joyce's family.
You have fury, but not strength
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite......."destroy her womanhood"?
Exactly how big does Toedad think Dina's dick is?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117She's a dinosaur, it's probably spiny, spiky and doubleheaded.
Pretty damn big if she's willing to tackle a dude as huge as he is considering she's a waif.
Oh really when?I've just never heard that term outside of porn.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Dina has balls. It's Toedad that's the dick here.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...So, is he being struck at the fact that Becky is still running and getting away from him? Noting a fairly open field of fire with a lot of innocents in the background should he miss?
Marginally better for Becky. Worse for Dina, particularly if she's on "shoot to kill" status with Toedad. I don't know if he would actually shoot to kill, but I'm not putting it past him.
