Back up a step. If Raidah liked Dana so damn much, how did she not know where her room was?

Dorm rooms are pretty mediocre hangout locations, by and large. The whole situation of Sarah and no one else being exposed to Dana's problems suggests that none of their other friends spent much time at the room.

On the plus side, Dina is only one vowel off, so she can be the replacement now.

Well. Jacob IS a pretty reasonable guy. I expect him to agree to get both sides of the story.

This strikes me as Sarah being understandably but very unwise. She'd made her decisions already; she could and should have just walked away with some dignity (and hoped for a cringing apology from Joyce later, given that Joyce's belief in fairy-tales had worked out as well as usual). I can't see how anything she tries now can work out well.

But the plot may disagree with me.

Her best move right now is to get to Jacob later and say "Would you like to hear my side?" Jake's no tool, he'll sit and listen.

I like the fact that she's gone from "You don't want to be my friend" to "I WILL TAKE YOU FROM THAT BITCH RAIDAH IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO." Gets her out of her anti-social funk.

I may start liking Sara. Maybe.

I'm loving this party already.

I kind of like Sarah's anti-social funk. It gives her a kind of brutal honesty, and I've always got time for someone who calls other people on their profuse bullshit. It's not really healthy long-term, I admit... But jealous rage isn't the best way out of that sort of thing.

Similarly, Walky is often a bit of a tiresome little jerk - but then he gets his moments of harsh absolute honesty, like in today's strip, because he's just too lazy to bullshit, and I find I like him again.

And sarah would need to do more than tell Jacob the full story from her side to get him back. He'd probably listen, and then he'd doubtless sympathise, and he might dislike what he heard about Raidah to trash that as a potential relationship (or he might turn all nice-guy and try to patch things up between the two women) - but then the only reason he'd have to get back with Sarah would be some kind of sympathy thing, which wouldn't be terribly healthy itself.

If I didn't know better, I would think Joyce is doing it on purpose.

The last part was a little creepy, but otherwise, awwwwww.

I am more interested in the hilarious hypocrisy of Raidah saying toxic people should be cut from your life. Why was she angry at Sarah again? Why exactly is Sarah the toxic one?

Because Dana (if I remember her name right) was so good at disguising her issues in front of other people that Sarah was the only one who even knew how serious it was?

At least that's how I remember it. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yeah, I think that's how that went.

I have been both the Sarah and the Raidah, at the same time, oddly enough.

Keep in mind Raidah might not just be saying that Sarah hurts other people around her, but that Sarah makes Raidah a worse person too by association. Toxic people tend to bring out the worst in others.

So by Raidah's logic the reason she acted like a jerk those few times is because of Sarah, and to some extent, she's right — if she wasn't near Sarah, she would not be antagonizing her.

....this is gonna end with Jacob saying, "You know what.......you two can kill each other for all I care, I wash my hands of both your asses." I can see it coming.

i wasnt particularly bothered by raidah until that last statement in the 3rd panel.

no context, no self awareness, no nothing.

correct me if im wrong, but wasnt raidah antagonizing sarah pretty much every single time they ran into each other? especially the day she got assaulted, and correct me if im wrong, but didnt sarah apologize for it later?

its a statement with the sole purpose of spinning a narrative to turn sarah into the monster; jacob wanted to know more- raidah sidestepped sarahs story with a non-sequitor half truth and promptly ended the topic right there

Sarah had no excuse to punch her. Period. And yes, Raidah has been micro-aggressing her to shit, but in that specific situation, Raidah is perfectly within grounds to be like "wtf no" even if she did apologize.

And I say that as someone who has punched people before. Ala Sarah.
