The (badly named) trope Xen Syndrome is about the final levels in a game being less prettily designed than the early ones, on grounds that most players won't get that far anyway. The image, for some reason, is a badly drawn webcomic showing some sort of alien asking a scientist to kiss his nutsack. Yeah, wtf?
