It is a premise trope. Just because it's misused doesn't mean it isn't one. It's been a long standing joke in show business where someone would describe a movie or show idea as this.

Hell a lot of actual pitches boil down to this. Or else, the idea that causes a story or a script to be written. Done it myself!

Can we at least do something to keep it from spreading like kudzu all over the main pages? Maybe move it to YMMV?

I think this should be tagged as Just for Fun or something. Seems every other page I come across has someone shoehorning in their own opinion of how Show Z is X Meets Y. X Meets Y is not a trope!
