Yep, they do seem to be really big buds with Nintendo. Then again, who wouldn't?
I notice the wii-u is appealing to M-gamers from the get-go, unlike the wii and GB which initially targeted the rated E crowd more.
Yeah, it seems like Nintendo is trying harder to get that Mature gamer early on rather than be seen as the "kiddy" console for forever.
Very big Daydream Believer. "That's not knowledge, that's a crapshoot!" -Al Murray "Welcome to QI" -Stephen FryI don't think Ninja Gaiden 3 will sell very well though, even if it has been substantially improved. People will only remember the lacklustre game they already played.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectNot to mention most fans of the last two games probably won't have a wii-u. Seemed like a stupid decision TBH.
w00t! I was caught by surprise when I saw it.
I planned to get a Wii U from the get go but this just makes it all the merrier!
I'll probably pick this up. I've never played the first bit it looks pretty crazy.
Semi-On Topic: Kamiya has said he'd like to make a Star Fox game and Platinum and Nintendo are on pretty good terms right now. If it happened, would you play it?
You are not alone, and you are not strange. You are you, and everyone has damage. Be the better person.I'd play a star fox game.
I'm not convinced this isn't just more console wars nonsense. When EA decided to fund Brutal Legend everyone who had been calling them The Devil for the last decade praised them. Anarchy Reigns is still on the other consoles and between Kinect and Move Sony and Microsoft can get Bayonetta 2 if they really want to. No More Heroes didn't remain exclusive to the Wii and neither did the Gamecube's Capcom Bundle(except PN 03, as it is a lesson for games like Bayonetta of what not to do).
edit:I retract that statement, part of me does understand. I remember when Namco made the baffling choice to make Soul Calibur 3 Playstation exclusive even though the Playstation Soul Calibur II was the lowest selling edition. In that case I don't believe there was a publicly released explanation for it, unlike now.

Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackOh Lord, the Fan Dumb. Internet Tough Guy much? Death threats against Nintendo? With fans like these, who needs enemies?! Nyeh.
Well, I'm excited that there's a Bayonetta 2 at all, but one game isn't quite enough to make me want a Wii U right off the bat. I'll probably get one eventually, though. It is inevitable. Resistance is futile.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyNever change Internet. Never change.
Anyway, I played the first Bayonetta, but kinda stopped halfway. Gameplay was definitely nice, but SHIT was the game hard. I kinda got tired of getting a Stone award every single mission, just to remind me of how horribly I did.
Then I traded it with a friend for Red Dead Redemption and never saw it again.
Won't be getting a Wii U, but I'll be interested in seeing how this game turns out.
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiReally? Once you get used to the controls and have a few upgrades Normal mode is nothing scream-inducing. Most enemies have easy-to-read patterns, and mastering Witch Time solves a lot of problems. Now, Hard mode on the other hand…

Maybe I was just having a hard time mastering Witch Time. Although being trained on DMC, I found it cool that the old DMC method of dodging (which was lock on, directional button and Jump) worked. That was definitely cool.
What definitely got me a couple of times was the QTE's. Man, those QTE's.
Also, yeah, most of the enemies were alright to deal with. But the ones that weren't were at best troublesome (the flying boat things) and at worst Friggin Nightmares. (Grace and Glory. Fuck Grace and Glory man, seriously.)

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiI guess Nintendo realized that the 'everybody' they tried to reach with the Wii includes the hardcore crowd and they aren't making the same mistake this time.
Being pissed that a game will be exclusive to a console that one can't afford is understandable.
Sending death threats is not.
Neither is threatening suicide.
Anyways, I'll bite and buy this when it comes out. It's an interesting IP, that's for sure.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Sounds like Japan with the death threat/suicide stuff(lol any Eva fan knows this stuff isn't entirely uncommon). Honestly a lot of that just seems like hyperbole, I highly doubt many of those seriously mean that. It's more an expression of extreme displeasure.
Stupid? Yeah.
Well obviously. Its the fact that they're getting so pissy about it that makes it sad/funny.
"All worlds begin in darkness and all so end. The heart is no different."-AnsemWell...
If the game is not a prequel, then the Lumen Sage is probably Bayonetta's twin brother.
I mean, Barder was the last Sage alive so this means the new guy had to be sealed outside the events of the first game.
My theory is that Barder and Rosa had twins, one female and one male. Being the complete bastard he was, Barder realized the boy would grow up to take his position as the Right Eye and sealed him at birth without even letting Rosa know about his exhistence.
The boy spent the last 600 years in a time bubble which broke because Barder died and the Laguna became desperate over Bayonettas carnage.
Hence they trained Bayonetta's brother and armed him to put her down. He is the new right eye and probably a little crazy like Flandre Scarlet.
In the case of the suicide threateners, that's unfortunate.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpKamiya's response to all of this:
And some various articles concerning the, um... debate. The GoNintendo one is particularly entertaining.
edit: As are the commenting sections, apparently, good gravy.

If this was a PS 3 exclusive I bet there would be a fraction of the hate going around. I'm thread hopping so someone else has probably said that already. Is it really because Nintendo's reputation has been so tarnished by all the casual Wii games that Bayonetta on their new console just seems downright ludicrous? Is it because most of the Bayonetta fans are hardcore gamers who refuse to even touch a Wii? Whatever. (sigh)
I only have a 360, so I'm a little disappointed that this is a Wii U game. I might get a Wii U, but right now I can't really afford it. I feel like my 360 has a lot of life left too, so I don't feel like I'll need a new console any time soon.
I still need to play more of the first game. I went through one play through and never picked it back up once I was done.
Going by the articles above a significant portion of it seems to stem from the (erroneous) belief that Nintendo hijacked the series with the exclusivity deal.
Yep. And something else that Sega currently doesn't have. At least the guy is tactful.
Also, I'm a bit surprised by this… it says "March 2013"… could the game be already that advanced? Dm C Devil May Cry comes out in that period and it was announced a year ago…
Yes, that's French for "March".
