@2050 There is none

It's one of my chief complaints about Bayonetta 2, Where they made the gameplay revolve around witch time On Infinite Climax it's impossible to even hit the humanoid bosses even using umbran climax's without witch time Leading to a lengthy thousand cuts type of situation without the bracelet of time.

Also every enemy being able to auto parry your attacks. That needs to go if they made a third one.

Ah. That's unfortunate. Well , at least magic is easier to retain and build in this one. And I don't think I was ever cut out for infinite climax anyway.

It's frustrating getting Jeanne after just beating Normal mode in 2 when you had to get all platinum scores in 1. I never did that.

It was platinum trophies and not medals, right? That can't be possible.

I never really felt any difference from Bayo 1 to 2 tongue

I feel a lot. Even using Scarborough Fair in 2, everything is so much faster and smoother and easier. Throwing off a step in 1 can kill you really quick, and 2 always has a lot of healing items that don't knock down your score.

Maybe it's because I am doing this gamepad only, but Bayo 1 can drop the rate of frames haaaard. It usually plays smoothly, but those drops are still noticeable.

I prefer Bayonetta mechanically, but it's weird how Wonderful 101's plot is kind of better. Both do stupid awesome, over-choreographed cutscenes fairly well, but W101 just did serious moments, and heartfelt tear jerkers a whole lot better. I can't put my finger on why that is, but yeah.

We have a Bayonetta thread? Well fuck me.

So uh, yeah, beat Bayo 1 recently. Fun but tough. So many Stone awards, ughhhh... Need to git gud on a massive scale.

Playing through Mayonetta The Second; not as tough, but still fun.

I might do noob difficulty run just to test out the touch controls. I want to see how a game like this can even work with them, but not be utterly frustrated by it either.

Touch controls are essentially automatic mode without the score cut

On Bayo 1 dodge offset is the key. I recommend practicing with the PPKKK combo and using dodge offset to skip the lengthy animation of the first kick and get straight to the two wicked weaves.

Oh yeah, I often forgot to keep holding the damn buttons when dodging.

But then again, it might had just been that Bayo 1 gave me enough practice that Bayo 2 feels easier?

Nah, I can tell that Bayo 2 is much more forgiving, at least award wise.

Bayonetta 2 is so much easier. Everything is smoother and items don't hurt your score.

Non-stop climax mode is still a pain though...

The one issue is that it's harder to keep a long air combo going once you do find your groove. Many more enemies resist being launched by wicked weaves than did before, and a lot of high-power enemies can parry.

One reason to love Umbran Climax and the Bracelet of Time, I suppose.

Bracelet of Time?

Guess that's one of those unlockable armlets.

Yeah. I think it unlocks after beating 3rd climax with some specific score.

It replaces Umbran Climax with manually-activated Witch Time, which draws from your magic meter. It disables Witch Time-on-dodge, as a trade off.

Not sure if that sounds really useful or not.

Oh wait, most creatures that are resilient to attack take more damage during WT, right?

So it is technically more effective than UC.

Well, except that UC gives you that massive reach on your attacks, which seems nearly required for some bosses.

[up] Witch Time is required to even hit humanoid bosses on infinite climax.

It also allows you to launch enemies and ignore auto parry. It's a lot better than umbran climax.

The strongest use of the Bracelet is with Alruna. The whip weapon can grapple enemies and slam them into the floor, but most enemies worth slamming will resist the grapple unless you're in Witch Time. Proper use of the bracelet can humiliate certain bosses by repeatedly slamming them into the floor so that they can't get a proper attack going.

So over the past week I beat Bayonetta 1 and 2. These games are fucking awesome! I'm really hoping a third one gets made.

Rodin KKK with bracelet of time is also the best. It stunlocks nearly every enemy in the game, even several of the giant enemies, Adds more magic than the bracelet takes away, Easily jump canceable, and builds up a ton of combo points.

Man, I wish I could play Bayonetta. I know they have it for the 360. But I don't see it in Wal-Mart.

One another note, I'm kind of wondering about Bayonetta 3. How do you they should improve the combat, and also should the story be more darker?

Well, I think the combat should include cues from both 1 and 2 (1 had better juggling potential and no enemies that randomly parried when your combo got higher, and 2 had a larger variety of weapons, and a good deal of more useful abilities, like a stronger-tracking Afterburner Kick).

How should the story go? Dunno. I guess there's always the fact that there's at least one realm ruler that we haven't killed already.

And definitely have a final boss sequence more like Bayo 1 or Wonderful 101 than Bayo 2.

Well Bayonetta 1 had us fight the god of Light then 2 had us fight the god of Chaos. It stands to reason that 3 would make Queen Sheba the final boss.

I wonder what the color motif will be. They've already used red and blue so the logical choice would be either green or yellow.

edit: They also need a new song with Moon in the title for the Climax Mix.
