Terrible name for such a common trope.
Ironically, my first impulse is to be fan-myopic and suggest a rename to Dont Mention The War. It's another work-derived title, but it at least hints that it's about tip-toeing around something.
This is also way too specific. "Don't mention the Berserk Button" is a trope, but "Don't mention the Berserk Button, you didn't mention it, so I'll mention it on accident" is Too Rare To Trope.
Also, I know its not limited to berserk buttons.

Can we just change this to Ignore the Disability as was decided in the other thread. I only saw this when going through Ptitle markup to delete it, haven't seen it anywhere else.

I've made the name change, haven't done all the wicks yet, and I doubt I'll get to them anytime soon. Someone else might want to pitch in.
All wicks to Sammy's Glass Eye have been changed to Ignore the Disability except for the laconic which is in the cutlist now.

There are about eleventy billion Sammys. I knew right away that this referred to Sammy Davis, Jr., but I still had no idea what the trope itself was about. Opaque name is opaque.
