Obviously, superheroes who are fathers have been done before. However, I'm going for this perspective - the superhero is already introduced as a father right off the bat (rather than marrying/gaining a child at the course of his story). Instead, he has a secret life of a superhero even while at work. So yeah, it's like that "your kid is a superhero" except instead of a kid, it's a dad.

Is it plausible? What are the repercussions? What are the troubles visible?

Going off Tiger And Bunny a superhero dad will probably have wonky interpersonal relationships. Especially with his children.

Eh, I usually associate it more with the "he MUST have trouble with his children" stereotype given off to father characters rather than being a sole view.

Oh god, dad finds out his son's been stealing street signs.

I think what fillerdude meant to say was that the interpersonal wonkiness might result more from his secret identity than being a male parent will.

Which is certainly doable. I do it all the time with fathers in my own writing.

Ah I see.

Still, what if the kids function like, say two - with the youngest being the daughter who enjoys the hero and the oldest being the son who is sort of non-social towards his family? Also, would it help if the mother is working too?

Whether if the mom works or not will depend partly on the age of her children, partly if she's willing to hire a babysitter who may or may not find out, and partly on her personality. If the daughter is around ten or twelve years old and they can be trusted to stay home alone without busting the house up, chances are good that Mom will be working especially if Dad's day job is frequently interrupted by acts of heroism.

I'm thinking that dad fits more with a physical occupation than office work (like say, a stunt double). And I guess mom works at an office. Because the kids go to school, I guess there's no need for a sitter.
