I heard writing for children is a lot different than writing for adults.Have you ever written something can come off as children's literatute.I am planning on doing that becuase I really like the imagination children's literature can bring.I know that children's literature doesn't always translate into talking down to the audience but can be appealing to children as well as adults.

I've always wanted to write for kids animation, although I never really think of it as writing for children, more about writing for people but will be safe and appealing for children as well as adults. I feel like if I were to write adults that I wouldn't change much in the way I write. My own tastes tend to be tame. I don't really enjoy gore, sex, and cursing in my writing, reading, or viewing, so I feel like I'm naturally inclined to write material suited for kids without really trying. I also feel that children's animation is a lot more accepting of more unusual and fanciful elements and stories. Adult audiences seem to expect everything to be explained and to be plausible, while works directed towards children are more often forgiven and people tend to have more suspension of disbelief.

Although I don't agree with the mindset that a lot of people have that just because something is written for children that you don't have to put as much effort into it. I don't believe children are stupid and I don't believe children should be forced to watch nonsense just because some producers think it'll be marketable. Children deserve to watch good quality shows that they can grow up remembering "That was a good show". That's the kind of show I want to write, a show that will stick with people for as long as they live, and a show they can show to their kids years later and still be enjoyed.
