It's here! Subbed version on Crunchyroll, dub's on Funi's site (though either way I think you'll have to pay if you're not patient).
Aaah such a nostalgia bomb. Definitely sticking way closer to the manga than the first anime: the only real change I noticed was Motoko's Adaptational Early Appearance, which makes sense because she's the only Yuki fan with an actual role.
Actually, that first appearance was in the manga too! The first anime took that cameo out and debuted her later.
However, there is an Early-Bird Cameo in the ending, or rather two — Kisa and Hiro, since their new designs hadn't been revealed yet! Their Zodiac forms were lurking (snuggling?) about on the Japanese site though.

I really hate Akitaro Daichi, the director of the first anime. Im so glad the new anime is so awesome.

His works are actually pretty cute...but the man is a monster. Check this out for instance.

Back to Furuba, some elements from chapter 8 were integrated into ep 3. This means EARLY MOMIJI (who has a accent in the dub to support his Gratuitous German)! We also get a early peek for Kagura.

God I wanted to watch Kamisama Kiss... DANG IT!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. You could always just read the manga.
Im totes not a manga person. I tried Fruits Basket and got defeated. There are SOME manga I like though.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Oh, episode 5 WRECKED me. After the 2001 anime to prep for Jake Chapman's radio drama, the "riceball in a fruits basket" scene hit me where it hurt. Probably didn't help that Megami33 posted a cover of the opening. Also some Adaptation Expansion with Yuki and Kyo being shown looking for the Honda residence, and witnessing some of the crap she put up with. Props to the dub for making Yuki being mistaken for a girl a bit more tasteful by using a gender-neutral pronoun instead.

Is everyone here still enjoying Furuba 2019? I sure am!
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.I'm debating whether to wait 5+ amount of years until finish the manga first or just watch the new anime (soon-ish).
As a kid I read the series at my local library, but I wasn't the type to read each volume in order so I just cherry picked around. It seems that my library doesn't have the series anymore, so I can't finish it. However, nothing is actually a spoiler to me since I was in the fandom circa 2007-2009 and I know all the major plot points (including the last three volumes), even if I've never read them myself. However, I worry that watching the anime first will 'ruin' the experience.
Edit:
Screw it, I'll watch it after I finish a few 12-episode anime.

24 eps and I'm pretty sure this is dub of the year. Just excellent all around.
The second season is already confirmed.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The first episode of the second season was good. A very amusing episode with a brief recap at the beginning before introducing the new student council members (odd and suspicious at the same time) and giving some development for Yuki's stalker the president of the Yuki Fan Club. The series is long past where I have read up to in the manga and while I have been spoiled as to some of the things that happen towards the end of the series I am looking forward to see how things go from here to there.
Can someone please PM me what exactly breaks the curse? I wanna be spoiled silly!

I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysIt's been fun going through a series that I started in elementary school again as an adult. I'm definitely more sympathetic to characters like Yuki, whose angsting annoyed me back then and much less so to others like Akito for reasons that shouldn't need explaining.
It ended today. The ending was as beautiful as I hoped.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Actually there's going to be an anime about the unadapted arc which stars Tohru's parents.

I made this Idolized Julius Kingsley icon back when Akito first came out, and now that the crossover is actually happening, I don't care.
The dub cast announcements are now caught up with the Japanese version — Ayame retains his VA, and Akito's new actress is Colleen Clinkenbeard.
