How are these films? I've been looking for more werewolf films. My favorite being Ginger Snaps.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.The first one is actually damn good. It's almost as if someone saw a troupe's game of Werewolf: The Apocalypse and decided to script about it.
The sequel The Howling 2: Stirba, Werewolf Bitch on the other hand...well it's good for the lols.
Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.Just watch the first one. The sequels are awful beyond belief.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/That's definitely not true. Check the The Howling page for some of the good later ones.

That guy is an asshole. That being said, I can at least get behind anyone who thinks this is one of the worst werewolf movies ever...because it is.
It's disturbing how some of the other sequels are arguably worse.
The fourth and sixth were... okay, at best.
The seventh is one of the worst horror films I've ever seen.
I think the new one is out this year. It looks as bad as you'd expect a post-Twilight Howling to be.

I'm thinking about tracking down the first Howling on DVD for my collection.
Can I ask you why?
He's arrogant, immature, huffy and ill-informed...and hateful...
But The Howling II... I'd rather talk about stuff like holy earplugs, and what-not. That scene still boggles my mind.
The Beast Within wasn't great but it was at least interesting and had some slimy, nasty transformations. You'd think Phillipe Mora and The Howling would make for a perfect match after seeing it. Instead, you get Howling II and nonsense about titanium and what the hell is Christopher Lee doing here OMFG AK GDAQXRZWH A
...yeah.
And they couldn't find anyone who looked at all like Dee Wallace Stone? Or find a halfway-decent F/X man?

... You do know it's a character portrayal, right?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I'm not even talking about his internet persona.
...HOWLING II.

Christopher Lee apparently hates this and regrets appearing in it. Which is saying something, since the guy's been in other shlock like Meatcleaver Massacre and Mask of Murder, and hasn't said anything bad about those, to my knowldege at least.
Unrelated, but John Carradine did EVERY role he was offered. Every. Single. One. Regardless of budget, director, etc.
Jonah Falcon
Still my FAVORITE end credits EVER. :D
