... Really? He's still mocking them by acting stupid?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I think it's more "If I act stupid, they won't think I am overqualified".
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Yeah, but this is a bit ridiculous.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Well, considering how exaggerated and comedic (versus realistic and natural) both the PVP and PA characterization styles are, a little ridiculousness doesn't surprise me.
It looks very nice but I would have prefered it if they had more than one comic at launch. Strips should already have a small archive for readers to read through.
A sampler platter if you will.
Charlie Tunoku is a lover and a fighter.Yeah, as someone who usually discovers a webcomic weeks or years after launch, it was jarring to not find an archive when I first saw the strip. Other than that, it looks promising.
tumblrNew Strip. So far, the stories about people's experiences are just as funny as the comic.
Also, this is the first comic ever I picked up right at launch, and that makes me happy,
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.You know, I briefly held a job in what kind of amounted to a software testing position. But I'm afraid that unlike the MC here, I'm not hearing cries of "You're overqualified." Sigh.
All these stories make me loose faith in humanity :(
That last one was sad.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.The previous story kinda left me confused. Were that guy and his friend the only ones told that the game was cancelled? If so, was the whole team not told yet, or was it just a dick way of firing two employees?
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I think it was just a dick way of firing one employee (the friend). He was the only member of the staff told that it was cancelled (the narrator heard it from him, not the higher-ups).
"Teebs is a total grump, but he's usually right." - NLKSounds like stories I hear from the Daily WTF Similar concept but covers programming in general.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I feel bad now. I think I bought a refurbished PS 2 once, but I have since thrown it out because I was trying to travel light :/
... This makes me glad that I haven't discarded any of my working systems yet. : )
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Man, I knew the industry couldn't have been all fun and... games...
But it's that bad? Damn.
I COMMAND THIS THREAD TO LIVE!!!
Dang those stories are depressing. And yet, I can't stop laughing.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?!??!?!??
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.You'd think that employers would do background checks in order to avoid unwittingly playing on their people's worst fears.

This ... is ... painful.
Dude has more ethics than I do-I totally would have accepted the gig :P
Assuming I had any reason to believe I'd get paid at all.
What happens when the authors of Player Versus Player and Penny Arcade, two of the most popular gaming webcomics out there, decide to team up? You get The Trenches, a comic about the horrible world of Software Testing . Also, the site is collecting user submitted stories about experiences in the software testing world.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.
