Hard agree on those two. A certain scene in the Near Future especially was the closest a game has ever come to making me cry.

Wow, my first page topper in a while and it's about how bad the Near Future got me. I fucking love that chapter to pieces but... DAMN that hurt to watch.

The music box in the intro of Yoshi's Island and also the ending theme.

"Kuiama" by Electric Light Orchestra. I sometimes feel like I won't be able to get through the whole song. One of ELO's best, though.

Two:

Mother 3: the Claus boss fight, especially when he removes his mask and the music kicks in. He really didn't deserve anything that happened to him.

The End of Evangelion: The beach scene, it's super bleak, but also super... i don't if hopeful is the word but like life affirming? I don't know why, but it drives me to tears every time I rewatch it.

The flashback of AZ's Dark and Troubled Past in Pokémon X and Y. The music doesn't help matters either, and I just noticed today that his Floette has tears in her eyes when his actions alienate her. It makes me think she's just as heartbroken to leave him.

Ducky Momo is my friend from Phineas and Ferb. It's a sweet song about finding refuge and happiness with a childhood comfort.
