I've heard a few Sonic Underground songs. They're pretty hilarious.
3DS FC: 1719-3694-1541I still to this day thing that of all the Sonic shows ever made AOSTH has the best theme song. A great rearrangement of the classic Sonic theme, where most Sonic shows don't have any musical nods to the games at all.
It's the best part of the show, really.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I noticed that Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog was the MOST accurate Sonic cartoon in terms of game characters and stuff.
Adventures: Sonic, Tails, Robotnik, Scratch, Grounder, Coconuts, Chaos Emeralds.
Satam: Sonic, Tails, Robotnik, Cluck, Rings.
OVA: Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, Metal Sonic.
Underground: Sonic, Robotnik, Knuckles, Chaos Emerald(s). (Possibly a Death Egg reference with the emerald-powered flying fortress.)

The Protomen enhanced my life. The Sat AM opening was pretty catchy. Considering I watched it more than the other one, it brings back memories.

Been going on a Satam binge thanks to certain events in the Archie comics and the 20th anniversary in general. After that it'll be Sonic Underground! ^^
The Protomen enhanced my life.I used to like the Sonic Movie back when i was a big Sonic fan, but i haven't watched it in a long time, and i'm not sure i would want to.
Adventures of Sonic occasionally had some fun animation, but was bogged down by terrible art direction, and not to mention lousy stories and writing.
I remember that when i watched Satam, i honestly didn't think much of it—it struck me as a dreary, boring show. Sonic Underground was an embarrassing show to watch, and Sonic X was just plain terrible in almost every way.
That about sums it up for me. The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog was the only series I bothered to watch every episode of.
Since when were the ova sonic episodes supposed to be a series?
Never tell your problems to anyone...20% don't care and the other 80% are glad you have them.Apparently it was two failed pilot episodes for a show.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Sonic X is the only one I have watched and even though it was a bit formulaic it had some really great parts. I didn't watch the English dub, though.
Yeah, they definitely had fun with it. i especially like the Chaos Emerald 4-parter.
The Protomen enhanced my life.@lalalei: When you mentioned how AOSTH has more in common with the games than the other Western Sonic animations and the OVA, you forgot one thing—prior to Sonic X, it was also the only Sonic show to use game locations, even if In Name Only. Scrap Brain Zone from the Volume 1 Box Set comes to mind.
I think it also had Casino night Zone! :D
The Protomen enhanced my life.I honestly like the first three. That's right, I like AoStH, SatAM and Underground. They both have different qualities to them.

I like them and the OVA! ^^ I like Sonic X too, though I didn't watch much of it.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I like SatAM. it was dark, mature and a great story. I don't understand why anyone couldn't like it.
The same reason some don't like the comics or Shadow-era games. Some just don't think dark stories fit the Sonic universe. Also all of these attempts do come off as a bit pretentious and claiming to convey more depth and drama than they really have. I admit Sonic Satam was a bit better written and held a fair compromise of whimsy and drama compared to some of the others, but it did have problems (eg. plot holes, occasional lack of proper depth and character development, corny dialogue, Sally essentially taking over the show in later episodes).

Haven't watched any of these shows in a long, long time, so I can't really comment on their quality, but I actually think Sonic Underground has the best theme song.

I liked that Sonic Underground had so many different Mobians.
The Protomen enhanced my life. All of them had potential and manage to be entertaining in their own right, but they are also let down by significant flaws in execution, making them rather hit and miss (in some cases the Sonic elements just seem tacked on as an afterthought). The OVA I admit is rather good, though for some reason I don't see myself coming back to it as much.
SEGA's one attempt at their own Sonic cartoon was pretty decent too (Night of the Werehog).

I keep forgetting that exists. Why wasn't that included in Sonic Unleashed?
Comes from being based on a video game series with very little in the way of plot; to make an actual story out of it, you've pretty much gotta create a bunch of new stuff out of whole cloth.

Here's a topic to discuss The Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic Satam, and Sonic Underground. ^^ I guess the OVA/Sonic The Hedgehog The Movie too, since it was more cartoony than Sonic X and never got past the second episode.
