I'm liking Successful Necessary Evils, although maybe only as a redirect. We've got a three-way tie going right now, out of four options.
I should link you all to an argument I made on OTC, but, in summary, it is: ideals are not extreme, actions are.
Thus, I voted that The Extremist Was Right is the best name. Utopia Really Did Justify The Means would work, but I think it's too wordy. It's a better redirect. The other two... bleh... I don't much like them...

I am now known as Flyboy.Bump for a few more votes.
And It Worked's description was copied and pasted to a new The Extremist Was Right page, and there are now new Playing With, Laconic, Quotes, and Haiku pages for The Extremist Was Right while the old ones were placed on the cutlist. The wicks were also fixed, And It Worked is now a redirect, and there are notes about the change on both the Renamed Tropes page and in the renamed tropes thread. Finally, I sent a report to move the discussion.
There was some misuse of And It Worked for the stock phrase, so it might be a good idea to check my work to see if I dealt with that appropriately. I am not confident that I did.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.
Crown Description:
Previous crowner showed consensus support for a rename.
I would say that consistent extremist actions do indeed make one an extremist in fact, even if one still has qualms or misgivings. I would definitely classify Ozymandius as an extremist. Anyway, Tropes Are Flexible.
That said, I'm more than open to names which don't include the word extremist. I just don't think it'll be a catastrophe if one that includes the word does win.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.
