"You mentor might have if he were around here," said Green Arrow. "Then again, he thinks of everything. No wonder I modeled most of my methods on his."

The old man quickly woke up and fell down to the ground, thanks to Sokka shouting.

"Oh dear me, I must apologize for not greeting you all." The old man said. Gi-Soo helped him up while he stared at Sokka. "Weren't you taught any manners towards the elderly, young man?"

Sokka inched away. "Sorry, I'm just very confused about what's going on here." This could all be some kind of elaborate trick, he thought.

"Are you all right, sir?" said Green Arrow. He helped the old man onto his feet.

Robin resists a sigh. Not even Cyborg or Starfire would scream at the old man...

"Greetings sir."

"Greetings to all." The old man stood up, showing off the British London accent. "I... must welcome you all to the End of Time. I'm sure all of you will have questions, but please hear me out."

Gi-Soo handed the walking stick back to the old man.

Sokka leaned against the lamppost and listened on skeptically.

"The end of Time? But Time and the Universe are connected. If one ends so does the other,"

The old man chuckled after hearing what Robin said.

"It doesn't work like that here, my boy. This place is a unique location that is not affected by the fabric of time."

He then told the group.

"The reason why you're all summoned here is that the multiverse is in danger. In very grave danger."

"Aigoo..." Gi-Soo sighed. "It's bad enough that I got kidnapped in Seoul and dragged off to another world. And yet I'm kidnapped again to this End of Time place."

Duke didn't seem to be visibly fazed by any of this. "And what do you want us to do?"

Sokka put aside the fact that he could only guess as to what a multiverse was and asked, "In danger from what?"

The old man sighed and inhaled his breath before he exhaled.

"This is a great crisis that has befallen the Multiverse Protection Unit. A being known as The One has began to conquer and take over multiverse after multiverse. Worse of all, I have received rumors that some sort of power nullification is used to ensure I cannot summon heroes who have powers to take him on."

He stared at Gi-Soo first before he continued.

"I do no know how he looks like, but he is someone you must not take lightly. I've decided to gather you all here in order to bring the fight closer to him."

The man stopped, overlooking the waters of Cabed-en-Aras. A wild and fey light was in his eyes, the eyes of one crazed by grief and horror.

"Cabed-en-Aras, Cabed Naeramarth!" he called out, his voice carrying far over the wind.

"I will not defile your waters where Niniel was washed. For all my deeds have been ill, and the latest the worst."

He put his hand to his sheath, and drew forth a black blade, the edges of which glittered like pale fire.

"Hail Gurthang, Iron of Death, you alone now remain! But what lord or loyalty do you know, save the hand that wills you? From no blood will you shrink. Will you take Turin Turambar? Will you slay him swiftly?"

From the blade, a cold voice rang in answer: "Yes, I will drink your blood, that I may forget the blood of Beleg my master, and the blood of Brandir slain unjustly."

"I will slay you swiftly."

The man set the hilts on the ground -

Nienor. Brandir. All of you... Forgive me.

And cast himself down on it. But even as the life left his eyes, there was a sound, and the rushing noise of a great wind made itself known to him -

In a certain Victorian courtyard, a tall man in chainmail stumbled out of the portal, still clutching the blade that he had taken his life with.

His eyes landed on the strange beings in front of him, and they widened in surprise for a moment - before lowering again.

"The Halls of Mandos. I have arrived, then." His face, almost otherworldly in its beauty with its fair color and piercing grey eyes, was nonetheless grim, and lined with grief.

"Mandos. I have come for judgement." Walking over to the rest of the party, and stopping in front of the old man, he suddenly knelt - "What say you of Turin son of Hurin? What say you of me?" His voice was pained.

"Wait a minute," said Green Arrow. "Has this being attacked my universe yet?" He wanted to make sure Black Canary was all right.

"Or mine? Because we could not fight something... Trigon was enough of a trial."

"I don't know what you're talking about Mr. Turin."

The old man said to Turin. "But you are not dead, but rather you're at the End of Time."

He took off his bowler hat. "First meetings warrant introductions. So allow me to introduce myself. I'm Churchill, appointed guardian of the End of Time and ex-MPU director. And don't worry, the universes where I summoned most of you is in no danger yet. Besides, we'll be working together for a while."

"Annynghaseyo."

Gi-Soo bowed before the rest of the party. "Kim Gi-Soo. Former operative of Section 35 of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Now an informant of the National Anti-Terror Service of the Republic of Korea."

He emphasized. "My name in the Western convention would be Gi-Soo Kim."

Sokka stopped leaning on the lamppost and stood up straight. "My name is Sokka," He took off his wolf helmet. "Of the Southern Water Tribe." Thank Yue, Suki and my friends are safe.

"Did you create this place?" He asked.

Good. Dinah's safe, thought Green Arrow. Too bad she's got that sonic scream. She's even better at hand-to-hand than I am.

Robin bows. "An nyoung ha seh yo Gi-Soo."

"That I did." Churchill told Sokka. "Over time that is."

He waited to see if the others would tell them of their names. Churchill needed to get everyone together while he still can.

"A pleasure. Robin-ssi if I'm correct?" Gi-Soo reciprocated the greeting Robin did.

"A pleasure as well Gi-Soo-Seonbae."

"You speak Korean?" said Green Arrow to Robin.

Robin chuckles. "You think he wouldn't teach me multiple languages Queen? And both Cyborg and Beast Boy are no slouches either."

"I didn't get your name, good sir."

Churchill told the Green Arrow, asking for his name.

"Next thing you know," said Green Arrow, "he'll have figured out how to breathe in the vacuum of space completely unaided."

The archer turned to Churchill. "Oliver Queen, sir. Mayor of Star City, California. Not to mention I'm its chief crime fighter under the name Green Arrow."
