Hurrah! I do like these free-to-play microtransaction models.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Wait. Trion, the maker of one of the best Pay to Play mmo's out there, is making End Of Nations F 2 P? Amazing.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. An MMORTS is a harder sell than an MMORPG.
Jonah FalconHmmph. well if you will excuse me I am going to go sit in a little corner of the internet and play Dream Lords now.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans. After hearing aboutit andreading the FAQ I'm Definately gettingin on this action...though my RTS skills are a bit rusty......*goes to rent R.U.S.E*

You know, I would've paid a full $50 for this game, but now I'm a little bit worried. This means I'll probably end up paying MORE in the long run than I would for a one-shot deal and a fully completed game.
What do you mean? End of Nations was always an MMORTS. They're just not doing a monthly sub.
Jonah FalconIn seperate parts he means A: Since it is F 2 P it is not going to be as high quality as a P 2 P game and B: The cash shop will nickle and dime him to hell and back.
And my separate complaint: How will this game avert Bribing Your Way to Victory? All MMORTS that I know of live on this trope.

Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Yeah, that's more or less what I meant. It also looks like the art design has changed somewhat, as a lot of the units look far more colorful and outlandish than in the earlier in-game screenshots.
I'll still try it since it won't cost me anything, but now I know that I'm gonna be getting the short end of the stick...

Still waiting for the beta to be released...
BETA REGISTRATION IS LIVE...but you signup for it in the same way.
Still no date on when the beta comes out however so feel free to let this thread slumber for another few months
They've been letting people sign up for the beta sing August, nothing new. What I'm waiting for is when the damned beta game itself comes out!
Episode 2 of Warfront is live
End of nations has been handing out beta codes
If your quick you can grab one from their Facebook, twitter, You Tube or their forums.
Beta will be happening soon....still no date yet
Would've been nice if Petroglyph and Trion actually stood by their promise AND INFORMED THEIR FREAKING SUBRCRIBERS about this deal! I mean, wasn't the whole point of joining their site early on all about getting exclusive access to the beta?!
FYI, they've released the Alpha build a few days ago. If you've signed up for the beta be sure to check your mail, you might be included as well!
Played it at E3.
This is the map I played.
They haven't even given us that map in the beta yet, let alone nukes, lasers, or all that other fancy airborne crap...
The End Of Nations website is down, the Wikipedia page for the game is using the dreaded past tense and the Trion website doesn't mention it anywhere.
Guys, I think the game died.
