I think we really need to come down fast and hard on this sort of thing, as it seems to be increasing. And every unilateral image change that's allowed to stand causes someone to think that's acceptable behavior.
The Dynasty image is superior, but even if it wasn't, I'd say "immediate reversion," just on principle.

Jet-a-Reeno!Restored IP image and left comment.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI like the Dynasty pic, and I'm glad it's back, but in all honesty I think what would best represent this page is a collage pic of the Dynasty and Poison pics combined with a pic from someone that had one of those really wacky, overly elaborate hairdos that the '80s were known for. Thanks to my wife being an obsessive fangirl, I found some good◊ examples◊ in New Kids On The Block, but I'm sure there's others out there that are just as good.
EDIT: Tweaked the tag to add the link to this thread.

I linked some good examples to the page for The Bangles, who were basically a '60s band trapped in the hair of the '80s.
Jet-a-Reeno!Did I screw up the tag? Crap.
I think a collage could work really well for this.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.You didn't screw it up, I just like to include the link to the IP thread as a general rule in the tags so people know where to go for reference. I tweaked the tag again to note that the discussion is still moving.
Oh, the tag in the page code. I thought you meant the page name in the thread title.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.80's hair is suppose to be big like a mullet or the band Poison as you see in the picture. Dynasty don't have very convincing 80's hair. They actually look more like they're from the 70's than the 80's. When you think 80's hair, I'm sure Dynasty's hair styles is not what comes to mind.
Vulchak, I was alive during the Eighties. The ladies from Dynasty have Eighties Hair. Dynasty ran from '81 to '89. That's the eighties. Mullets were primarily late 80's, and the fuzzy hairstyle of Poison is also late 80's and early 90's.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Shouldnt we show Male and Female for this?
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Well about half the cast in Beverly Hills Teens fits this trope. Which includes a good scene for in this video about 0:38 - 0:42 seconds in.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. Most people seem to agree that the Dynasty picture isn't actually BAD. There might be better, for for now, I'm going to undo it's most recent removal. Please leave it up until we decide that it's "bad" or find something better.
How's this look?

Aqua Net?
Hairspray. Very strong hairspray.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I like it.
My god, the '80s, it BURNS!
Liking the vertical triple image...

I am now known as Flyboy. So, was there a big name brand hair gel back in those days? I'm not 100% comfortable with just one brand name drop in the caption.

It actually was Styling Mousse, not gel, unless you wanted a slicked back style. And "Jhirmack" or "Vidal Sassoon" were probably the biggest names.
So, "AquaNet and Jhirmack Styling Mousse"

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Thanks...I remembered Vidal Sassoon but needed the memory jog for Jhirmack. I tweaked the caption, how's it look?
I'd say "do it".
Do it.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Done. Locking up.
It used to be the left one, from Dynasty:
It was changed without discussion to the right one, of the band Poison:
My main objection is that the general conception of "80's hair" was not the simply big and frizzy of the late 80's and early 90's; it was the big, highly styled, feathered, and layered look that lasted throughout the 80's and was dying by the turn of the nineties, and that the Dynasty Ladies are a better representation than the Poison Guys.
A secondary objection is that the Dynasty one was chosen in an IP thread, although it was long ago that the thread was lost in the October purge.
